Less traffic, more affiliates?
Not a long time ago one affiliate manager was complaining to me about the difficult times in the industry alleging that the number of new players in his casino had significantly decreased, while still they were signing up a lot more affiliates than usual.
After the US Security Bill a lot of operators were forced to stop accepting US customers and the ones who decided to continue operating in this market noticed a significant drop in the number of players. Meanwhile the affiliates started actively looking for new affiliate networks in order to establish partnerships and therefore some networks received a lot of new partners.Having said all this, I would like to open a discussion for all affiliate managers, so that we can share our knowledge and experience about new ways of marketing. What new techniques do you employ to retain customers and affiliates? What other markets are you actively trying to reach and what’s the response that you are getting? Did you have to make any changes to your sites or promotions? What difficulties do you encounter in your daily tasks?
I used to be an affiliate manager myself for over 5 years, and I always believed that by cooperating with other managers I can always learn more and share some of my knowledge for the common good.

Currently I’m working on some great SEO and SEM initiatives with some social networks also. As well as that, we’re trying to bolster our reputation as a safe new affiliate program.
