June 2, 2008 at 2:22 pm #769140biggygMemberI refuse to do business with groups who have this policy ,it is your BRAND we would eb promoting ,without us the player wouldnt have found you and if we send a sportsbook /poker player it is not fair that your team would them entice them to play other games and not pay us any commissions. The thing that bugs me more is there are exceptions to this rule ,if it can be done for one ,then everyone should be treated that way.Glad I do myhomework before wasting my time putting up banners .
June 2, 2008 at 3:16 pm #769143AnonymousInactiveThat pretty much sums up everything I think. Ladbrokes are dead to me now – I won’t work with a company who wants to screw their affs.
June 2, 2008 at 4:37 pm #769151Anne-WagerShareMemberI am sorry that you feel this way. We run a very successful affiliate programme here at Ladbrokes and our team is always here to help and respond to any constructive criticism.
We are constantly looking to reward our affiliates and monitor everybody’s position on a regular basis but I do not feel that this is the place to discuss the performance of individual accounts.
If anybody reading this would like to discuss any of the issues raised, please do not hesitate to contact us. [email protected]Kind Regards

June 3, 2008 at 5:11 am #769191AnonymousInactiveLadies and Gents,
Before you beat Ladbrokes too hard with the “ugly” stick I reckon you should take stock of what is offered.
From my 8 years working with “Laddies” I’d say …
Ladbrokes are a huge brand, very reliable, and have a pretty good conversion rate with players in the UK due to their “name value”. Players are well looked after and seem to re-deposit.
They don’t shave stats, tracking is pretty reliable, and payments are always tracked and delivered either by bank transfer or cheque. They also do not carryover monthly negatives.
These are all good things – and issues that many affiliates complain about with other less scrupulous operators.
They are way above many of the two bit tin-pot dodgy licensed casino operators that I do often see mentioned in forums (including CAP).
That being said – I know that not cross crediting over all channels is an issue for several affiliates – and despite what Andy of Ladbrokes said that is NOT “standard” across many reliable affiliate programs. Some do – some don’t.But then again – many affiliate programs don’t offer sports, poker and casino off the one “brand” either – so if you were only pushing casino (for instance) then normally you’d not get any sports revenue anyway.
Perhaps in the future Ladbrokes could consider using existing affiliate referral links when cross-selling to customers in emails and that might ease the problem?
(hint hint)
:wink-wink
But in the meantime – without wanting to increase my competition too much – I’d vouch for Ladbrokes as a good safe operator – that pays well.I’ve been working with them since 1999 without any issues – and I’d say that they’re almost always in my list of top 5 monthly program earners (from a basket of 30 or so).
:hattip:Just my two pence (cents) on what I consider a worthwhile option for European / Asian facing affiliates.
June 3, 2008 at 10:04 am #769204AnonymousInactivePaul, you make some valid points and I think that’s exactly why so many of us are pissed off with Ladbrokes. They have here what could be a BRILLIANT program – especially for successful UK affiliates.
They have a great, well-known brand that many of us would like to promote. What we’re equally annoyed about is the lack of foresight here – and it’s a massively wasted opportunity to get some great exposure from affiliates. By taking the quick buck and operating an affiliate program that DOES rip off affiliates – and that’s exactly what they’ve decided to do – they’ve blown a great chance.
We’re just amazed and repulsed that what could be a superb opportunity for them (and us) has been ruined by stupid thinking.
July 21, 2008 at 7:31 pm #773362UkbfvujiMemberIn the future, does Ladbrokers plan some new casino or sport betting site in affiliate program ?
July 22, 2008 at 10:18 am #773437Croupier.comMemberHi bumeral,
We don’t have any plans to realese any additional Casino or Sport sites.
I hope I have been able to answer your question, if not, please clarify you question.
Kind Regards,
August 1, 2008 at 6:14 pm #774311AnonymousInactiveI guess i’d like the Ladbrokes explain this to us here.
I send you a casino player, he presses a button somewhere to add poker or sports betting to that account, yet i don’t get commission? Is this what is happening?
A few clearifying questions:
1. Do players have single account across all Ladbroke properties?
2. If i sent a player who is an active casino player and he then visits the poker room via another affiliate’s link, will Aff B get credited for sending a new depositor to poker?
3. If your player is using a single account for all your various venues what logic is there to not pay commissions for crossover play?
August 1, 2008 at 7:20 pm #774319AnonymousInactiveAs the Gooner pointed out having a reputable big brand that doesn’t shave will possibly make you more money than some shop like Grand Prive who now claim they cross promote….
Anyhow this is still a deal breaker for me and as there is at least one other big UK brand which has all the positives of Ladbrokes minus the seperate product channels I would go with them. At least I’m pretty sure Bet365 do it that way. :hattip:

Bet365 certainly do put everything together … however, read the bet365 forum here and you’ll see people railing against the fact that bet365 :
1) carry negatives over
2) lump all revenue together (so sportbetting losses can eat into casino for instance). This month I had a lousy month on the sports at Ladbrokes (minus several thousand) but had a good casino month.
The Ladbrokes method of totally seperate channels and no negative rollover definately plays in the affiliates favour when that happens. My casino earnings are intact – and sportsbook starts at zero again in August.
:hattip:Again, I thoroughly recommend Bet365 as a great place for affiliates too, (along with Ladbrokes) but I just wanted to point out that there are swings and roundabouts with the European multi-platform operators that new affiliates might not be aware of.

completely agree. Bet365 are consistantly in my top 5 earners a month. Also if you are targetting a UK market you simply have to promote Ladbrokes, as theres almost always a shop on every high street in every town. New online gamblers will always look to bet with the main brands first and bookies they can trust. – Ladbrokes are certainly one of them.
no hassles with either Ladbrokes or Bet365 for almost 6 years!
August 2, 2008 at 7:08 pm #774385AnonymousInactivedamnit I didn’t know bet365 bundle!!! That sucks big time too. It’s still preferable though when one makes the not so daring assumption that across all the channels (games, casino, poker, sports) earnings will stay in the affiliate’s pocket so neg carryover will probably only present a temporary slump. Again if a program has negative carryover it at least helps that it’s 100% honest because then you can actually get out of the hole again!
