It appears Kentucky just wont let it go. Fresh new reports suggest the state is setting its sites on Microgaming in the ongoing domain dispute.

Kentucky lawyers allege that Microgaming conducted commercial transactions, accepted monetary transfers, extended credit, hosted online poker games, set up and maintained accounts, took rake, shared in profits from its family of sites, employed proprietary software, and designed websites with “a purposeful, specific intention to do business over the internet” with players located within its borders.

Why would they target Microgaming? They don’t even take new players from anywhere in the US, including Kentucky. I guess they pick targets according to how much money can be extorted, rather than by who is actually infringing on their laws.

You are forgetting that those in charge of Kentucky aren’t the brightest lights……this guy is on a mission, and fails to look at the details. Kentucky is under water financially, and this is nothing more than a super desperate move.
