Kanoodle?

Randy they are one of the WORST PPCs out there. I worked with them when they first started, but they really went down hill about a year and a half ago. I spoke with their rep “Richard” about a thousand times (so has Captain) and told him there were serious problems so they are well aware of customer concerns.

You will burn through campaign money there at an unbelievable pace and see NO conversions.

If you really have to test them, do so with a small amount of money you can afford to lose.

Are there any good ones out there besides Overture and Google AdWords?

Overture is expensive, but like I’ve heard the Professor say, if you want real traffic, you’ll have to spend real money.

Google AdWords is high maintenance but somewhat affordable in comparison. But good luck staying within their editorial guidelines and maintaining an appropriate click-through ratio. Sheesh!

Seriously though – would be interested in how anyone has fared with LookSmart or some other engines.

Randy Overture and Google Adwords are both good choices. they are pricey, but you WILL get conversions of real players there and thats what this business is all about. Its not about branding, or hits it’s about sales.

Others to consider are Findwhat and Goclick. Both are relatively inexpensive and do produce some sales (though not as many as Overture or Google)

Heard good things about Looksmart but no first hand experience with them yet.

The Prof. is right, Overture and Adwords work, but for me are too arrogant and they have you jumping through hoops just to get/keep listed.

Findwhat and GoClick both work well although traffic is lighter than Overture and Adwords.

Virtually all the rest will waste your money unless they have changed dramatically in the last year. One side note, I did make money with ePilot only because I landed some whales ($10k plus each) with them. Otherwise it would have tanked as well.

7 search also made me a small amount of ROI, but with them I found 2 things very odd:

1) Lots of traffic and low, low conversion. Suspect fraud click thrus
2) More % of winners than other PPC’s. Players from here always seem to do well for some odd reason. Maybe 7 search partners with casino portals or something that attracts good players.

That’s interesting what you say about 7search, I have just started a campaign with them so will see how it goes.

As for kanoodle I converted at about 1:150 (hits to users registering) but have not yet had any deposits.

When I hear 7 search I recoil.

For months I was carrying some bug around that would divert me to really off the wall 7 search results whenever I made a typo in the address bar.

I finally got rid of it. I know for sure though that I will avoid 7 search like the plague.
