I hope this sends a strong message to those who email spam!
It’s costing companies and people millions of dollars in wasted time sorting through the shit email and somethings gotta be done.
so did they go after the spammers via tracking the spam back to its sender? Or did they go after the places that were advertised in the spam?
its almost paramount the spam be charged against the sender; rather than the advertised sites or else there will be a trend of honest webmasters being set up and I can just imagine how bad things could get.
9 years seems extreme. We had a 17 year old stab and kill someone here and he got 9 months…

You are right it’s a bit extreme but should help to send a strong message to would be spammers.
I just think that spam is the kind of thing that if you send someone to jail for 6 months they would learn thier lesson. Think about it this way, tax payers are going to pay over 1 million dollars to keep a spammer in jail? How many mouths could that feed.
