Jeremy Rose is punished over logo in Ky. Derby
Jockey Jeremy Rose was suspended seven days and fined $500 by the Churchill Downs stewards yesterday for donning the Paradise Poker logo on his pants during the running of the Kentucky Derby on May 7.
Joe Graci III, press agent for Tim Ritchey, the trainer of Afleet Alex, said Rose will appeal the suspension and fine.
The $25,000 fee paid by Paradise Poker was donated in full to the Alex’s Lemonade Stand charity for pediatric cancer research.
