That is crazy business. As in crazy that they owe 300 milion to players, but had 5-60 million in the bank. They must have worked out how much in withdrawals were being made a month, and whatever else was available, they pulled out.
I have a theory on why they pulled out as much money as they did. They sold a substantial stake and controlling stake to a silent partner, and are now being paid of year by year, with the earnings being made by FT till their stakes which they sold off to the silent partner is paid off.
