My stats look awfully strange. The following snapshot was taken on August 13th (removed casinos with no data) at Vegas Partners.
Code:CASINO Cmpgn INC. (PAY) (INC) (PROG)(CB’s)PROFIT
Crazy Vegas $-23
Got2Bet 129 0 0 23 0 0 $-23Cinema $-16
Got2Bet 001 87 75 48 0 0 $-36
Got2Bet 310 110 40 50 0 0 $20777Dragon $-349
Got2Bet 001 0 0 48 0 0 $-48
Got2Bet 412 0 0 301 0 0 $-301I can guess what the one under Cinema (Got2Bet 310) is, but I am especially curious about the ones under 777Dragon, especially considering there is no other activity on those accounts/campaigns.
Anyone have a clue? Something also bothering me is the fact that the big player from last month does not appear to have played this month.
August 13, 2004 at 9:30 am #653361AnonymousInactiveHi,
Please note that we credit no deposit bonuses to players accounts monthly if they have taken the time to register a real account but do not make any purchases. This is done in an attempt to get them playing so that it is mutually beneficial.
These bonuses are credited to the players accounts at the beginning of the month and if the players do not play these bonuses then we removed before the month end so that your stats are not affected.
Please feel free to contact me should you have any queries.
Regards,
Antoinette

Beneficial – give them a bonus when they make a purchase – that incentivizes them to deposit.
Detrimental – giving them money when they haven’t even asked for it. And doubly so if they should win with the free money.
If you are talking about the comps that they have earned in the past month, that’s another story entirely and of course is ok. But otherwise giving money to players who have never deposited, or did not make a deposit that month, does not seem like a good idea to me – if anyone else has any opinions on this I’d like to hear them.
I just get a little worried when $301 is put into someone’s account for no apparent reason.
August 13, 2004 at 12:37 pm #653366AnonymousInactiveI think it is an idea worth trying.
There are way too many people who sign up and then don’t play – I think because they are put off by all the info they have to give out about themselves, and then they need to do it all over again to deposit. (I am talking about novice players here)
A bit of money will let them play for real and feel the excitement and can be a good incentive. It would draw me in, too.
I think it’s worth trying. I am willing to let that happen.
But the amounts per player can’t be $300 or more. That’s a little over the top. Smaller amounts will do just as well.
I also like that the amount is removed if not used within the month.
August 13, 2004 at 2:12 pm #653370AnonymousInactiveHi,
Sorry forgot to mention that the amount of the bonus ranges from $5 – $25 per player. You had about 24 players that qualified for this bonus therefore the amount is so high.
Please feel free to contact me should you have any queries.

Antoinette
August 13, 2004 at 2:16 pm #653371AnonymousInactiveI don’t think I have 24 players PERIOD. I would be amazed if I had even 10.
Would you mind taking a closer look at that?
August 13, 2004 at 2:21 pm #653372AnonymousInactiveYou have in total across all of our casinos a total of 62 real players since the time you joined our program and 12 guest players.
August 13, 2004 at 6:07 pm #653377AnonymousInactiveMy stats look like that too. I usually make a few clams from them, but this month they are all negative. Is this a new bonus structure or has it been in place for awhile?
August 13, 2004 at 8:41 pm #653384AnonymousInactiveI have 62 real players? Surely not all of them are active, or even close to it…
Must be about 60 or so bozos, because I made nearly zero from VP in three years until last month.
These wouldn’t happen to be “We miss you” bonuses by any chance, would they?
August 15, 2004 at 1:36 am #653422AnonymousInactiveI don’t mind you posting publicly for ours as well, but how in the world can poker be negative $-641. I know we don’t have that many active players.
August 16, 2004 at 3:07 pm #653463AnonymousInactiveHi,
Here are the answers to all of your questions:
Firstly wufu110 – this is not a new bonus structure this is done every month to get registered players that have not made any deposits to start playing with us. This is benficial to both you and us.
Spearmaster – the reason behind doing this is to eliminate the problem that you and many other affiliates are having where players register and do not deposit at the casino therefore resulting in your stats being zero. These are not ‘We miss you’ bonuses as these are given to players that have not made a deposit. ‘We miss you’ bonuses are given to players that have not played in the last 60 days.
EllenIng – According to our database you have 224 real poker players since joining our program, of which 98 players received the bonus for not purchasing since they have registered an account.
Please feel free to contact me should you have any queries.

Antoinette
August 17, 2004 at 8:05 am #653512AnonymousInactiveThanks Antoinette, so we basically wait til the end of the month to see what happens? Sorry just not sure on how this works
August 17, 2004 at 8:25 am #653513AnonymousInactiveHi EllenIng,
Yes, thats how it works. If the balances in the players account are not played by the end of the month they will be removed.

Antoinette
September 11, 2004 at 1:58 am #654866AnonymousInactiveWe ended with a negative -$62 for August and started this month negative -$814 for poker.
I can’t see how this is going to make me or you money if it keeps going at this rate, do we have other options here?
September 11, 2004 at 4:42 am #654882AnonymousGuestHi,
what I always find amazing is how all these stats are available to the programs but not available to affs.
If they had been available it would likely have resulted in much less confusion.
Is it THAT hard to make this info available thru the stats interface?
just curious.
