up and business can continue as usual! All domains were blocked late Friday and it was impossible for us or our
Clients to get the listing sorted out as the registrars offices were closed till Monday. We can confirm that the Spam Complaints originated from other marketing efforts and none of our affiliates were involved.Fortune Lounge does not condone Spamming. We appeal to you, our partners, to take Spam as seriously as we do. It is in both our interests to continue marketing in a Spam free environment and your co-operation to avoid any future spam complaints and registrar issues is essential. We will therefore continually update our Spam section, on our website to better assist you with e-mail Spam compliance. Furthermore, having domains registered with Go Daddy is proving to be a distinct problem, and we have responded by switching all of our domains to another registrar and Fortune Lounge have done the same.
Both new and old domains are now working.
We’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support and understanding during this time!

http://www.FortuneAffiliates.comHello Tami – Will you be taking any steps to ensure that the spam many of us are receiving from a certain affiliate, referenced to several times in this thread, ceases? Spam from this particular affiliate has been an ongoing problem & it would be excellent to see Fortune permanently resolve the issue.

Hi Marc – What email address would you prefer people forward the spam to?
August 2, 2005 at 9:10 pm #669889AnonymousInactiveHi Marc!
Actions speak louder than words. I have been sending these complaints for more than a YEAR.

I’ve sent many, many spam complaints over to Fortune support & either I don’t receive any response, or I get the standard “we will contact the affiliate and have your email addresses removed”. But, unfortunately the spam continues. Seems to me that just by reading this thread, and it being very obvious which affiliate is the source of the persisting problem, that forwarding any more emails is a waste of everyone’s time & won’t solve anything. Decisive action must be taken immediately if Fortune’s stance regarding spam is to be taken seriously. Also, I think it’s a reasonable assumption that the spam emails referenced in this thread are just the tip of the iceberg & that this affiliate is spamming an untold number of other people.
August 3, 2005 at 5:51 am #669939AnonymousInactiveMy day wouldn’t be complete without a “Super Size me” mailer. 2nd Fortune spam I got today from this affiliate, which is about average. Sometimes I get just one & if I’m lucky enough  three, Fortune spam emails from the dolt each day. Like Spearmaster said “actions speak louder than words”.

Unsubscribe [email protected]August 3, 2005 at 11:17 pm #670039AnonymousInactiveExact same one as Erik, so I won’t post it again – but I am definitely forwarding it.
This is it, Fortune Affiliates. The next one I get from this guy will cause a much larger explosion.
August 4, 2005 at 2:57 pm #670122AnonymousInactiveHi there,
I quickly wanted to let you all know that we are in the process of formulating a Spam policy with some very stringent penalties. I will post this in the next few days.
Spam Complaints
Please send all spam complaints to: [email protected]Please allow 48 hours to ensure that your e-mail address is removed. As soon as the affiliate has confirmed the removal from all of his databases you will be informed.
When sending through spam complaints, please attach the received “spam” as well as the e-mail address that you require be removed.
Again, thank you for your input and support.
August 4, 2005 at 3:58 pm #670133AnonymousInactiveIN the process of formulating? What the hell is that, you should have had something like this since inception!
Stringent penalties? Are you going to do the Referback lip service and say “we are penalizing the affiliate 20% of his income” bullshit?
Let’s cut the bullshit with the white papers and the theories and the brainstorming sessions – it does not take Einstein to formulate a policy of “You Spam=You’re Terminated, You Square”.
You can’t even get something as simple as this right and you want us to feel like partners?
Wake up and smell the bull$#!T piling up outside your own front door!
August 5, 2005 at 9:34 am #670228AnonymousInactiveHi everyone,
I’d like to correct an error on my post yesterday… Fortune Affiliates HAVE a Spam policy but we’re in the process of re-formulating it with more stringent penalties.
We take Spam seriously and HAVE never tolerated or condoned Spamming.
We would like to attend to all Spam complaints but are yet to receive any to our new address. Please send all complaint through as soon as possible as I’d like to get this sorted out.
August 5, 2005 at 3:11 pm #670247AnonymousInactiveActions speak louder than words. Even if you did have a policy, you have essentially condoned spamming by your total lack of action.
So although your words say you do not condone spamming, your actions clearly show otherwise.
August 11, 2005 at 7:59 pm #670645AnonymousInactiveWell, I forwarded the spam mailers I have been receiving to [email protected] & included the email addresses this affiliate needs to remove. That was nearly a week ago. Despite your assurances in this thread that you take spam seriously & will upon request have the affiliate remove emails from his lists, I am still receiving Fortune mailers from this affiliate every day. Did you contact him and request my email addresses be removed? What actions are you taking, if any, to discourage this affiliate from continuing to spam? Unfortunately, nothing has changed so far.
August 11, 2005 at 8:20 pm #670648AnonymousInactiveI am getting them in increased numbers.
