Las Vegas, NV – 03/10/2005 – CasinoAffiliatePrograms.com (“CAP”) a leading online gaming industry resource, announced today that they are revoking the certification of Gambling Federation. The decision is in response to published reports that Gambling Federation had installed malware (malicious software) in their software and their recent termination from The Interactive Gaming Council (“IGC”).
The Gambling Federation provides services to online casinos, primarily acting as an affiliate network. According to published reports, the company had installed malware in Gambling Federation’s software that players downloaded to enable play at certain casino sites. When installed, the malware prevented the players from accessing three specific casinos that had been involved in an earlier dispute with Gambling Federation.
CasinoAffiliatePrograms.com is a trusted resource in online gaming industry with a rigorous certification process for casino programs. Gambling Federation became a CAP certified partner in February 2004.
“As a certified program, our partners are held in the highest regard and expected to protect the integrity of their affiliates and the industry as a whole,” said Lou Fabiano, managing partner at CAP. “Under these circumstances, we have no choice but to revoke Gambling Federation’s certification, effective immediately.”
In was announced earlier today that Gambling Federation’s membership in The Interactive Gaming Council was terminated and that their CEO, Flaviano Fogli had resigned from the IGC board of directors. The IGC is the leading trade association for the international interactive gambling industry.
