The conservative religious far right dislikes Specter. I saw a longish speech made by Patrick Mahoney on Sunday about how Specter had to go. That’s how he put it – Specter has to go.
He also said that Bush owed his election to the christian vote and was expected to adhere to the policies of the Cristian Defense Coalition, the Liberty Council and other conservative extreme right religious groups.
So far the replacements in the defense cabinet are witness to the fact that this is so.
I am quite surprised that Mahoney, Staver and others so openly proclaim that from now on they will call the shots in this country.
Unbelievable.
Professor, I am starting to come over to your negative view of things.
Maybe I should build a new house in Canada and not here in the states.
