I moved from Denmark and all my friends, family etc.
But I was lucky that my girlfriend moved with me. There are many danes in Malta, because of the laws in dk. And we also have many bookmakers on the island. (Bet24, expekt etc.)
I don’t know if you can use your greek name/house. In Denmark it’s illegal to live in the country and advertise for gambling sites. That’s why I moved. But it depends on how aggressive the police are ? you could give it a try…

The best thing you can do to not have problems yourself is setting up an offshore company. This way the company controls all the business.
You must evaluate carefully the point you are in. If you are in a good position, don’t leave, find solutions, and one is the offshore corporation. Online gambling will be allowed soon. People will realize that the route to go is not prohibition and you are wasting resources by simply going out of business.
Giving information about online gambling is not something bad, is a good service to people that will gamble anyway. They are still looking for info, and if you are in conditions of giving them the best info, don’t give up, just position yourself in the best way.
February 21, 2006 at 1:28 pm #684210AnonymousInactiveDoes it take long time to create an business offshoure? To make a norwegian business it took me 2 months! BTW: I do not know ANYTHING about this.. offshoure business.. i just need the name and organization number so i can add it to my domains, thats it right?
February 21, 2006 at 1:55 pm #684217AnonymousInactiveIt all depends which country serves your site/hosts. Greece right now I beleive has Pegisis which will even host or serve actual Online Casinos. I can not understand from what authority Norway has over another sovereign nation.
Just because you Live in Norway does not mean you can’t have a Online Gambling website. Just get another country to serve it. In Canada, there is Canadian server that will do it and yet the Indian Reserve located in Quebec, Canada hands out Online Gambling licenses like crazy, Kahnawake Gaming Commission.
Take Greece for example, Greece has one of the largest shipping companies in the world. Where are they located? England but the owners reside in Greece.
If you operate out of another country but reside in Norway how can they say its wrong. I do not understand? Greek39

I could also live in Denmark, and have another person to run my business in Malta…But if I work for the company in dk, the police will be knocking at my door..
