    Hello All,

I have question about the new referback T&C. I am not planning on blacklisting them, but will downgrade their placement in favor of other programs. However, I do not find the T&C all that threatening, considering some of the more important areas have been addressed by the referback staff.

The main reason I came to this board when referback introduced the new T&C this month was to get a feel about which payment method the experienced affiliates thought was best. The referback site said I had until some time in October to choose my payment option, so I haven’t made a choice yet.

Assuming they pay for first deposits on rev. share, and only pay CPA for 2nd deposit, and assuming they do not toss 6 month old players back into the pool, which payment plan is the favored plan of most affiliates?

I do not know how to open a poll, or even if I am allowed to. So I thought perhaps we can open a discussion about it. So, let’s pretend referback works out the details enough so that there are still some affiliates interested in promoting their properties. Which payment option suits you best under the new T&C?

    Tom,

I read that thread, and all the other threads about the new T&C. I am asking from the veteran affiliates, who are going to still promote referback properties, which new payment plan do they think will pay them best?

    • Classic
    • Cash Injection
    • High Roller
    • Partner

I have no meaningful historic stats to compare the payment plans. I was hoping some experienced affiliates would share their thoughts on these specific options. There has been much discussion about specific features of the T&C, but no discussion about these four options. Would anyone care to share which option they chose? and why?

Referback has really showed their true colors recently. I’d think twice before promoting them, Trail Guide.

Actually, this isn’t true. They have not yet addressed the retroactive terms and conditions, which is the most important issue. People here have asked them to address this over, and over, and over again. And what do they do? They ignore us.

Referback isn’t capable of keeping their promises, so there is really no point in discussing their 4 new commission models. My advice: Avoid Referback like the plague. Find a better program to promote. There are many other reputable Microgaming programs out there, such as Casino Rewards, Brightshare, Vegas Affiliates, etc. Referback is a “has been” program now. To sign up with them would be reckless and foolish, in my opinion.

Unfortunately this is true. I personally like the folks at Referback, and I would very much like to give them some nice exposure.

But the impact their broken contract has had and still has on the industry just cannot be ignored. It encouraged a bunch of programs to follow suit and break their contracts with us.

They have all gone back to do the honorable thing now – except for Referback.

Until this is fixed, regardless of how I feel about them, I cannot recommend that you promote them.

Just because we are a salesforce that is international and online doesn’t mean that contracts with us don’t need to be honored.

Well, well, well…In all my lurking of this board I can definitely say I respect the opinions of Engineer and Dominique.

I am not considering signing up with them, I already am an affiliate. That does not mean I have to promote them. But I do have to choose a payment option.

Surely even those of you who say you will not promote them will give them 1 or 2 players a month to keep earning revenue from your existing players. I doubt that anyone is so ticked off at referback that they are saying, “Screw it, don’t send me a check at all if that’s how you are going to be.”

Veteran affiliates will still collect checks from referback. I suspect they will do whatever it takes to assure revenue from exisiting players continues to come in. Veteran affiliates will remove banners and links, but will not close their referback affiliate accounts. Veteran affiliates will be forced to choose one of these four options. Which option will they choose?

Furthermore, there is still the possibility that these issues will be resolved after the CAC. When affiliates, affiliate managers, casinos, and other merchants, can meet and work out their differences. In the event that these issues are resolved, and referback becomes “OK” to promote again (like the others who have reverted back), the choices made last month and this month, will have lasting effects for future referback affiliate payments. To this end, is it not worth at least discussing? :1Dialog:

Trail Guide, you were right, the issue has been resolved at CAC. Referback is not in breach anymore, they have chosen to do the right thing on all levels.

I suggest you get together with your personal manager ( the person whose picture you see when you sign in at referback) and ask them to look at your account and do the math as to what they would recommend for you to make the highest revenue with.

Then I would go over this with a fine toothed comb and figure out if I would still like this if I were producing ten times the revenue I am producing now, since hopefully your business will continue to grow and grow….

Well as a veteran i can tell you that I refuse to promote these properties. Why would I? 25% is the minimum I can earn anywhere else, so why would i bother with a program that pays 20%?

The reason they had to give a car away was to convince new affiliates that they are the top program. In the past a top affiliate with them earned 150k a month, I bet at this point in time it is closer to 15k.

Wait another year and no one will promote them. They dont convert, retain, or do anything worthwhile for that matter.
