I just got a call from the Obama campaign here in Denver informing me that there has been a problem and informed me that I may be asked to do a provisional ballet, but she said to refuse that and only do an original ballet. The provisional ballets are basically used for tie-breakers?

I went to our website and found the following:

The Elections Division was informed on Friday, October 24, that part of one batch of mail-in ballots that we expected to be mailed to Denver voters on October 15 were not delivered by our ballot printing vendor, Sequoia Voting Systems.

We take this matter very seriously and want Denver voters to know that no one will be disenfranchised by this vendor error.

Here is the statement issued this morning (October 25) by Clerk and Recorder Stephanie O’Malley:

Clerk and Recorder Stephanie O’Malley Regarding Specific Denver Mail Ballot Shipment
The unsent ballots are being prepared this weekend for delivery to the Denver Post Office on Monday, October 27.

The USPS has advised voters to mail their ballots by Friday, October 31. If voters have any concerns about the remaining time frame in which to return their mail-in ballot, they can drop them off at any of our early voting sites or at the Elections Division, 3888 East Mexico Ave., when these locations are open. Voters may additionally return their voted ballots to any one of the 185 polling locations on Election Day.

Thanks for the information. My brother lives in Denver (he’s going to watch Obama speak tomorrow) so I should call him & let him know about this.

Some-one has to come up with a way that is eazy and as fraud proof as possible so that any leagal US citizen who is of voting age can vote without fear of his/her vote not counting, or some ones vote getting counted more than once or not feel like an outcast no matter how you vote.

I wish I had the answer, but I dont.

Good idea Erik! The lady that called was so nice and she had me cracking up because I asked her what could I do right now to help and she gave me a number to call on Monday.

I better get my original ballet in time to mail it in and get counted or somebody’s head is gonna roll! :roflmao:

Looks like I’m going to have to pay very close attention to this because I hope it’s not any funny (ACORN) like stuff going on! :D hehehehe

Another one for my ‘Congressional Crooks’ list!

Election watchdog groups are suing Secretary of State Mike Coffman, alleging that tens of thousands people have been wrongly removed from the state’s voting rolls.

The lawsuit was filed in federal court Friday. It alleges that Coffman violated federal election law in two ways.

First, the suit says Coffman has removed the names of about 3,000 voters because election notices that were sent to them were returned as undeliverable. That’s allowed under Colorado law but the Advancement Project and other groups say that violates federal law.

They also believe that tens of thousands of voters have been wrongly removed within 90 days of Election Day for reasons that aren’t clear.

Coffman says he believes he has fully complied with all laws on voter registration and cancellations.

So you’ll mail in your ballot then on election day join other obama supporters in going from polling place to polling place trying to vote as Mickey Mouse, I.P. Daily, Anita Mantoholdme? :hattip:

    :roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao::roflmao:

Oh, i’m not working on election day, but i have promised to help build the Inaugural Mosque after the election.

Did I say that I was going to do that?

    What’s your point? :sarcasm:

I’d expect a remark from chips, but definately not from you. :D

So what if folks want to take the day off to help Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck or anyone that day. If the system is set up to allow it then don’t blame us do something productive and fix it.

You get to say when folks work and how they spend election day?

    It was a joke.

I’ve found these republican claims so silly, i found they substitute for actual jokes with most folks.

Sorry to throw you a curve :)

PS. i showed it to a couple of other dems, before i posted, who said it was hillarious.

Whew, thank God. I’m sorry if I came on strong. I have enough folks ‘in my ass’ so it’s hard to know who is being for real and who is joking. hehe :inlove:
