How to develop my website?

Hi there!

Today I have a site made in simple html descent links and a pretty good conversion rate, but I want to do it better and the three next step for my site is to:

1.) Give my customers the opportunity to “search” among different gambling sites by chose for example language Swedish, Currency swe kr or €uro and maybe more choices, There will probably be a lots of different mixes of gambling sites to chose from so the site has to “make” the “result page” for me.

2.) Get a forum for my site

3.) Be able to get my visitors a own blog on my site.

While I was looking at a few different ways to to this I found Vbulletin wich cost a few hundred $ but thats ok if that is the best option. I also found out that maybe WordPress or Joomla could make it as well?

Does anyone using this kind of “help tools” already and know more about them?

Is there any other easier ways of getting the search option and a forum for my site?

here’s some ideas which I know will work and is pretty easy to implement:

#1 – Use a CMS, Maybe wordpress. The good thing about most CMSs is that they allow you can tag pages (by language for example, or by content type) and do searches within the subset of pages tagged (e.g. a search in all swedish pages on your site, perhaps if the user has set the language to swedish, has a swedish browser, or checks the “search swedish” stuff on your search page. With a few very minor tweaks, WPress is the man for the job here although obviously any modern CMS is an option).

#2 – if your server handles php (no doubt it does), look at phpbb (free), vbulletin (paid) or free wordpress forum software (if you go down the WP route)

#3- you can install wordpress MU (multi-user) in a subdirectory on your site, and with a little tweaking you have an instant blog community.
