Seems like when I promote the online casinos, players deposit 20 bucks, blow it, and don’t come back :(
But I guess casinos offer cpa deals of $200 or so, so players must be worth more I reckon.
I am just experimenting… I anticipate someone will tell me ” hey man, you gotta promote your site for at least a year and recruit at least 20 new-depositors to get a better idea as to how much a player is worth “
    amirite?

I read somewhere that players plays in around 4 months. About the value…its difficult….ubt average value could be around 1000$?

What your players deposit could have something to do with which keywords you are working on. Lets see you uses “free money” – low value players. If you promote “highroller” – I guess you will see that player value are higher.

But one things I can tell you – you will be amazed one day when you get your first whale:-)

    Good luck with the hunt:-)

Player lifetime value also differs depending on country and how good (or bad) a casino is at retaining players

And hopefully the program you choose is honest/reliable/straight and ‘good’ to you.

The ideal player lifetime value is on average $1200
this is industry standard for desktop user.

For tablet and phone users a high roller is considered someone who spends $25 lifetime as there are millions that just put down a dollar or two.

I think, or am assuming, the problem with the $1,200 figure is that it counts huge whales that throw it out of wack as far as the common affiliate being able to achieve. Although i could be wrong, that would be my first impression. Maybe my cheap-ass players are what the problem is because if I saw that I would be in soaking in my gold plated bathtub drinking Moet from a custom tap in the stone wall.

Remember that quoted $1200 is of course total value – not the affiliate share.

We keep stats on all our partners, measure stats by month, and by click, and by FTD. Even averaging over annual periods we see a wide variance between partners and periods, not surprising as MuffinCrumbs has indicated a whale can really inflate the average.

However, over sports we see number that suggest “average” total player value can be between $500 to $2500, and casino $600 to $1500 … so that $1200 average number does seem to fit our data.

As for player lifetime … I’d suggest that typical player “half-life” is something like 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, forever !!

So 50% only play for the first month, and another 25% drop out over 3 months, 12% more are gone after 6 months (87% total gone now), and another 6% are gone in a year. The good news is that if you keep a player active at a site for a year (around 7%) then they seem to last indefinitely.
    ;-)

Obviously the long term players are the ones that really boost the player averages. while many of the short term ones are small depositors (say $20 to $50) that try it and do not like it enough to stay. Of course there’s still lots of variation – every now and then you get a short term “whale” that plays and loses big. It really depends on your site, your reader base, and the quality of the program that you sent them to.

Then you have affiliates that push the “No deposit required” bonus, and end up attracting freebie players that don’t want to spend any of their own money :)

Gross, or is that affiliate commission?
