….did it take you after launching your website to start getting traffic and click thrus? How long did it take you to get your first depositing player?
December 30, 2004 at 3:00 pm #659497AnonymousInactiveI got traffic and depositing players on almost all of my websites almost immediately by using PPC traffic.
December 30, 2004 at 4:12 pm #659503AnonymousInactiveInteresting.
But now PPC doesn’t seem like a viable option due to click fraud, and due to Google and Yahoo banning gambling-related advertising. If you don’t mind my asking, do you still use PPC?
For those people who rely on SEO alone, how long did it take to get your first depositing player? I believe it is possible to get depositing players without paying for advertising. Can anyone back this statement up with examples from their own experience?
Of course the time period will vary; I don’t expect there to be an “average” time. Maybe it took a few weeks, maybe it took a few months, or maybe it’s been a year and you still have nothing. Either way, I’m interested to find out.

The goal is not to get 1000 clicks a month from 1 keyword; the goal is to get 1 click per month on 1000 keywords.

As far as my gambling portal goes, its not even 3 weeks old yet, believe it or not I am beginning to see some click thrus but so far no depositing players. I’m sure that will come in time( I hope). So far the only type of promoting I have done is thru link exchange and top sites.
Engineer/Randy: I have put some of your suggestions that you gave me about my site into play and I think it looks alot better, I cut down on some of the banners and got rid of the bold text. Still not sure why that red box keeps popping up, it has even done it when viewing with IE. I’ll figure it out eventually. Oh and I finished up a few other pages that I was working on. Thanks again for the tips. This is the most fun I have had working on a website in a log time. Hope it pays off.December 31, 2004 at 3:32 am #659540AnonymousInactiveRandy wrote:Yes, I still use PPC. Hi Randy,
Do you use google for your PPC?December 31, 2004 at 4:17 am #659543AnonymousGuestIf I remember things correctly, it took a couple of months to start seeing downloads, and once that happened the players were right around the corner.
I didn’t use ppc – I only used SEO. It was something like 6 months before I saw any real money.
I should say that, for the first few months, I put in at least 10 – 12 hours a day working on one site.

Do you use google for your PPC?”Not anymore. They won’t allow it, and neither will Overture.
7search has worked okay for me, and Goclick. 7search offers about twice the quality of Goclick.
