InactiveI know everyone is preoccupied with the CAC thing, but wanted to get some input.
How do you handle an affiliate that asks for certain placement on a certain page and you don’t want to give it. In this particular case there have been a number of complaints about the customer service, so do I tell them exactly that this is the reason, or just sort of let it blow by?
How do you guys (and gals) handle these things?

InactiveI am always totally straight.
I tell them what and why.
With the exception of CPays, they are all reasonable about it.

InactiveTotally off topic but why do I have private access, but do not from the main page? is this a loop hole or did Lou this for me.
I can only access through today’s posts, kinda strange? I do not beleive he has reinstated my private access, if not there is a loophole. greek39

InactiveThanks Professor but when I log in the private forum section does not appear like it use too?
I will be good! I am sorry for the last meltdown. August was a month from hell!! blew some mother boards, lost my cat (struck by a car), the hacker conference was a little too enlighting. Vista is going to suck big time, they smacked and wacked that OS all over the place. The new outlook7 I was told don’t bother, I was in the process of selling the house while being over seas ect…
In any case I promise this will not happen again and Lou you have permission too kick me around at the CAP spring break.
I have some interesting cpays info I would like some to view. I was going to post it in public, a liitle too dangerous. I need too start a new thread, but can’t because of the problem already mentioned.

Otherwise one day you might find yourself entangled in the little network of white little lies of your own doing heh :] Except for Cpays, all are reasonable and will understand it.
Or if you still are not willing to be straightforward, use this little trick: give them an example of a deal that have with the partner on this certain spot (CPA or RevShare, and make it 3 x the deal) and put it straigh: if you can beat that offer, the placement is yours. they rarely do

Be straight up.
In fact I act as an advocate for my players and if I get too many complaints – or any rogue issues – then the program is dropped. In this case though I assume that is slow service, rather than a REAL BAD issue.
However, I’d tell them straight up that you do not feel confident endorsing their site with the current service levels. And I would be thinking about dropping them altogether if you feel that bad about it.
If they’re letting players down – then you’re letting players down by recommending them.
As an aside I was approach by a major internet sportsbook who have a reputation for being shoddy in the customer service – again not fraudlulent – just very slack on the service. They were prepared to put a fair sized “pre-paid advertising” run – but we couldn’t get to agreement – even though they assured me that things had changed.
The sticking point was that I wanted a clear escalation path that I could take my visitors issues if/when they had problems there – and I explained that this was because of their reputation.
I wanted managers and directors names – email addresses – and phone numbers – and a written assurance that they would not fob me off when I came calling seeking a resolution.
When it came down to it :
– that was either too much trouble for them to collect
– or they knew damn well they still had (and have) service issues. And you know what – I did not regret giving them the flick and missing out on the cash at all – quite the opposite when I see complaints about them in other forums

InactiveIf they are a Playtech I tell them that I am not happy with Playtech’s role in providing player support and I’ll only represent casinos with a perfect history on Casinomeister (they rarely have!).
If they are an RTG I tell them that I am not happy with RTG’s role in providing player support and I’ll only represent casinos with a perfect history on Casinomeister (they rarely have!).
No-one else bugs me
Nor do the Playtech’s anymore
