Anyone see the email that Vegas Partner just sent out inviting players to guess the name of the new casino they’re about to launch?
Anyone also notice that the links contained bTags… and NOT your affiliate code?
Is there any point in affiliates promoting the new casino since they have already announced it to all their players?
August 22, 2004 at 6:23 am #653748AnonymousInactivebump… now they’ve issued a press release as well – and still the affiliates haven’t been told… as if they’re not going to let the affiliates have it for a while.
August 22, 2004 at 7:59 am #653749AnonymousGuestIt’s an incredibly deliberate, this keeping affiliates in the dark. There is no mention of it on vegaspartner.com, not even under the so-called “news updates”.
August 22, 2004 at 12:53 pm #653754vladcizsolMemberThey have been telling larger affiliates about this for months. I speak with Antoinette weekly on the phone and she told me about the new casino three months ago and even mentioned it again this week. Having spoken to several other affiliates I know this to be true for everyone she talks to.
Spear and Fergie do you talk to Antoinette or Tyrone?
I honestly dont think there is anything sinister afoot here.
I send their casinos at least 40 depositing players each month and if anyone would be worried about them syphoning off players it would be me as I have a large player base with them.
I just dont get the ‘feeling’ they practice business like this. There are dozens of programs I do believe are capable of syphoning, Vegas Partner isnt one of them.
August 22, 2004 at 3:45 pm #653763AnonymousInactiveThey’ve already mailed all your players, Lou. Are you going to get credit for them?
And yes, if I want to I can talk with Tyrone. But I’m not bothered at the moment – since I don’t push their program that much it’s not going to have a big effect on me.
August 22, 2004 at 10:44 pm #653769AnonymousGuestNo, I haven’t been talking with Antoinette or Tyrone. I donno, Lou, Ijust don’t think we should have to be talking directly to the affiliate manager to hear about something as significant as the launch of a new casino.
Perhaps it isn’t a deliberate attempt to keep us in the dark, but they can’t be accused of enlightening us, either.
I found out about it in a google news alert email. I went to their site and found no information or marketing materials.
I’d also like to hear an explanation regarding the the email that Vegas Partner just sent out inviting players to guess the name of the new casino they’re about to launch, containing alien bTags.
I just have a bad feeilng about this, not terribly bad. I’m not ripping them off my site or anything rash, but I sure would like to hear an expanation from them
August 22, 2004 at 11:24 pm #653772vladcizsolMemberAsk them down in their forum.
Look if you guys DONT promote them its fine, in fact with less competition I will earn more with them from my sites :cheesy:.
I just think they are getting the stick unnecessarily.
August 23, 2004 at 6:40 am #653776AnonymousInactiveThe point isn’t giving them the stick.
The point is:

August 23, 2004 at 2:51 pm #653803AnonymousInactiveLOL… I think piano wire is a bit too cruel…
All I’m trying to do is point out a simple fact. Many affiliates in here believe that they should get credit for the players they bring in, no matter which casino within the group we’re talking about.
Some may not see it that way – that once a player has signed up at a casino, then the casino has the right to convince them to play at another casino within their group without giving the affiliate credit.
Financially, look at it this way:
Let’s say you have 5 players losing 5K per month (affiliate commission about $1250).
The casino then emails them and asks them to sign up at another casino within their group – and 3 players move.
The following month, you have 2 remaining players losing 2K per month (affiliate commission about $500).
Do you consider that fair? I’m not saying it’s one way or the other – but I do know what I’d prefer.
August 23, 2004 at 4:08 pm #653821AnonymousGuestI have to throw my 2 cents in here because I think there is merit to what Spear says, and I’ll tell you why,
About (I think) 3 months ago I visited their site thru my link and when leaving a popup came up and I copied the link and then because I can’t ever tell if my damn code is there or not; the way they have it set up: so I emailed them the link and merely asked if my exclusive ID was in the code, and they unknowing where I’d gotten the link; replied no, that it wasn’t in the link.
I can’t remember now if I even bothered to write back, But combining that with a less than expected bottom line were enough to make me cut back their exposure.
I might even still have that email if I looked around for it.
