Well, there is actually an 85% chance according to this data released by a data analyst firm that ties unemployment rates with the super bowl. 17 out of the last 20 super bowls have been won by the city with the lower unemployment rates! Might be good content for you guys to throw on your sites
Note: If you bet on the Pats and they lose, don’t blame it on me!
January 31, 2012 at 7:34 pm #820961Ivo van BeekMemberhaha that’s a great fact! Obviously it has to be luck, but 17 out of 20 super bowls, that’s just plain old weird.
I think the Pats will win, firstly because I think they are a better team and second because they want revenge!

Thanks, great for content!
But in principle, if you could choose between any statistics between cities in the Super Bowl, I would assume one could find something that gave a 20 out of 20 or 50 out of 50, but perhaps the missing link would be to obvious with statistics about stolen bikes etc. :wink-wink

I’m actually with you, I want the Giants to win since I was once a fellow east coaster living around NJ and NY. But, stats are stats, and this one was too good not to post!
February 1, 2012 at 5:01 pm #820992bosshoggsMemberTotally understand the stats thing… But… I’m rooting for the Pats for a different reason… Still kinda mad that the Giants beat the 49ers (my fave team) in the play-offs and I want them to lose for that reason
February 1, 2012 at 11:57 pm #821018AnonymousInactiveNot that I know what I’m talking about when it comes to this sport… but I’ll jump on the bandwagon!
Go Patriots!
February 6, 2012 at 12:07 am #821127AnonymousInactiveSo…. I started snoozing in the first 3 mins of the game. The players look like they are wrapped in cotton balls.
2nd qtr starting… Have coffee and peeled pomegranates as snacks.
Bring it NY. Bring it.
February 6, 2012 at 5:20 am #821129bosshoggsMemberYikes… This theory was way off… The Giants won. And I have to hand it to them… there were some monumental plays tonight!
February 6, 2012 at 11:32 am #821133chazMemberStatistics are meant to be broken. Especially in sports betting . I learned this the hard way back in 2010. Did you know that Until 2010, every single World Cup host managed to get out of the groups to the elimination rounds? A 100% statistics for over 80 years… 18 events and every single time the host gathered enough points to be in the top 2 spots in the group.
I could bet my mother that South Africa would advance, and after all they finished 3rd and did not, breaking a tradition from almost a century ago .
February 6, 2012 at 3:31 pm #821135AnonymousInactiveI’m almost too happy to work today. I’ve been a Giants fan all my life and last nights win was extra special because my 7 year old is now into sports and is finally getting it. I don’t think he’s ever hugged me so hard when they won.

Not gonna lie… was kind of bummed that the Giants won because they beat my niners in the playoffs… but this story is too cute that it is making me turn the corner on them… Plus, you’ve gotta hand it to the Giants, there were some amazing plays last night!

Eli’s throw with 4 minutes left in the 4th quarter was fantastic.

I’m not the fall guy here! Blame it on Wes Welker and Aaron Hernandez. Brady was throwing some good passes, and if Welker caught the ball when he should have, they probably would have had the game. That was a costly mistake.
