You just need to be unique, just a little bit (at least) in this crowded global net.
Keep it simply, make it little bit unique, mean stand out of the crowd.
I make my sites total width of 1024px, means sites display at 10′ tablets very well.
Mobile computers (with screens around 10′) become the most used around the globe.
I completely give up on any traffic from mobile devices, mean smartphones and with screens less than 7′.
Its waste of time and resources.
