Good morning all, I need a second point of view from you guys about the following situation:
We normally check almost daily our stats for most of the affiliate programs on our site, on Tuesday our stats related to a specific poker room were showing a figure; then later in the day they have updated the stats again and the numbers went down decreasing MPP’s and profits…
Surely this has generated some concerns to us so we have contacted the affiliate manager and the first reply was: “They were doing some updates earlier today to get the stats up to date. Everything is correct now and up to date”.
This was not good enough for us so we asked for more information. According to them they have sent out on Friday 21st September an e-mail (copied below) letting all affiliates know about having some issues with their stats. Now, we did not received any e-mail on Friday and the only copy we have is the one sent us after the issue was started, now I do not want to point the finger at anyone however, if any of you is using Focalclick and have received (or not..) the below e-mail last Friday please add a little comment to this post.Thank you all for your precious time.
Carlo
Rakeback-Online.comTHIS IS THE E-MAIL:
(affiliate name),
In the last few days, our programmers have encountered
technical issues relating to the exporting and display of
player statistics onto the FocalClick systems. This would
result in online stats not being updated in the last 2 days.
They anticipate full restoration by this coming Monday. All player tracking and data collections systems are
unaffected. All traffic metrics continue to be collected as
normal and when the reporting systems are back online,
all statistics will be updated. Please hold off any “untracked” player requests until at
least next Tuesday. I apologize for the inconvenience.Kind Regards,

Email notification about these technical issues was received from Focalclick on 9/21/2007 7:17 PM.

As far as I’m concerned, technical issues etc like these are common and happen with all poker rooms. Even the biggest ones. So no need to panic, they’ll sort them out.
September 27, 2007 at 10:08 pm #750127AnonymousInactiveSo rakeback affiliates are on a special email list at focal or what conclusions can be drawn from this?

Yes, I periodically send emails to rakeback affiliates as regular affiliates do not like to receive mail about rakeback issues. For instance, new rakeback levels or new rakeback rules. This does not concern non-rakeback poker affiliates.
If I can answer any other questions please do let me know.
Kind Regards,
Mark
September 28, 2007 at 4:00 pm #750214casinopilotMemberNow that we know for a fact that the e-mail was originally sent at least to other rakeback affiliates, we are more relaxed about the original issue.
Focalclikc ensured us that we are now in their rakeback mailing list, this should avoid further issue in the future. Thank you for anyone how helped us with this post.
Regards, Carlo -
