Then if you had signed up before all this went down your stats were wiped clean because of umm … an error yeah let’s call it that and so sorry but all data was lost. REALLY? We sent a letter asking them to close our account and guess what no response.
Professor are we going to Microgaming now with a letter? We need to really go after these clowns.

Maybe they won’t get a licence if this is made known to Malta.

Online Casino DirectoryDecember 9, 2008 at 9:53 pm #789741AnonymousGuestHi all,
World Casino Directory, Yes it can help or hurt too. I am just little worried. If others think it’s OK, then I am OK too.
I asked in a thread (somewhere) about anchor text because the links I was getting were just the page link example: http://www.yourdomain.com/foldercalledGP/rogue.htm
so that’s what the links would have looked like if i put them on the page verbatim
so I changed to anchor text like “grand prive rogue casinos including bella vista”
and then I’d change that casino name to another GP property for the next link.
I was thinking that would get searches for the casino names along with GP …
I may have been wrong in doing things that way and am asking now. That said I feel its very important that the individual casino names be targeted … perhaps moreso than the keyword “Grand Prive”.
so how is this accomplished if not to add the names into the anchor text?
in any case I will be glad to change if needed.also I’ve put up a page on bondedcasinos because I thought it might carry more weight than slotsharks.
so if anybody wants to link to it that’d be great too

December 10, 2008 at 4:34 am #789758AnonymousInactiveI agree with you Kasino King on the anchor text as well. We have been changing the anchor text as well and plan to make a few more changes in the am to be more specific and target the casinos.
December 10, 2008 at 8:38 am #789770AnonymousInactiveI suggest CAP and the GPWA send out an emergency email to all affiliates to mobilise regarding this issue.
December 10, 2008 at 12:28 pm #789783AnonymousInactiveWe just got their casino reviewed just so we can then blacklist it :hattip:

I ‘Challenge’ other ranking webmasters to do the same.

I am not going to change the basic list at OPU or everyone will use the same anchor text – I think it’s better if they target various keywords and not all the same. Correct me if I am wrong, but I thuink google is more likely to discount them if they are cookie cutter on all of our sites. I will change the anchors at gamesandcasino soon.

I have spoken to Ecogra about this and they in turn spoke to Grand Prive and MGS. After a couple of days, eCogra communicated that they cannot intervene on an official level as the Grand Prive aff program was not certified by them. They do certify some other aff programs. They also said that an official comment and explanation from Geand Prive would surface soon.
December 10, 2008 at 2:23 pm #789790AnonymousInactiveSo maybe we need to go another step here and send a email to all our player list, I have done that as of 2 days ago.

Thanks for the info Dominique! Am thrilled to hear those explanations…
December 10, 2008 at 3:38 pm #789800AnonymousInactiveIt’s a bit silly to try to separate the two in this situation.
Even if they want to play that Two Separate entities game, the responsibility still lies on the Casino Group itself.
The Casinos made the decision to authorize the marketing arm to make Lifetime Revenue share agreements with hundreds, or thousands of affiliates to build their business.
Deciding to fire, or close the Marketing entity doesn’t relieve the Casinos of the obligation to fulfill the agreements they authorized the marketing arm to make on their behalf.
That said, their Casinos are eGOGRA Approved, so eCOGRA should officially hold the Casinos responsible for the agreements they authorized their marketing arm to make!
That would be the case in any “Real World” regulation, and yes most of the commissions have control over the relationship and enforcement of Independent Agent agreements.
I imagine the new UK laws would cover this as well. The MGM Grand could not authorize their Ad Agency to make these kinds of agreements, and then walk away from them just by firing, or switching Advertising Companies.
They’d be sued in New York minute, and lose.
And the Gambling Commission would be all over them to pay as agreed if they were to remain open for business.eCOGRA has touted itself to be an Online Regulatory Authority of sorts, so they should be very much involved, IMO.
December 11, 2008 at 7:19 am #789858AnonymousInactiveFrom the eCogra site:
The integrity of the eCOGRA Seal is principally dependent on the extent to which operators and software providers adhere to these requirements.
eGAP incorporates an exhaustive and detailed schedule of requirements encompassing all areas of online gaming relating to player protection, fair gaming, and responsible behavior practices by the casino and poker room operators.
I highlighted the part that I would think should make them actually WANT to get involved in this issue…
Be it theft from a player or theft from an affiliate or theft from the old lady on the street corner.. Theft is theft and should be dealt with accordingly.
