In a world where bookies are fighting tooth and nail for new accounts, anyone else find it odd why so many online bookmakers stop their welcome bonuses over the Grand National? Yes, the quality isn’t going to be great but surely the acquisition costs are far lower which mitigates to a degree.
Funny enough one of my best punters last year was acquired on Grand National Saturday (from a bookie who ran with a welcome bonus) and they’ve continued to play ever since. Doesn’t seem like bad business to me.
