March 4, 2008 at 6:06 pm #762482AnonymousInactiveNow Professor,
Having had such a nice sounding nightcap, what wrestling were you watching?
and as far as GPWA goes, maybe we need to do a “smackdown”>?
or maybe i can get Shawn to do a super kick?
or how about maybe a “people’s elbow???
we could get “socko” and choke them a little bit??
or maybe a tombstone might be in order??
LOLLLLLLL
Sorry, just had to do this, i hear this every Monday and Friday night around here. lollllll

March 4, 2008 at 10:05 pm #762502vladcizsolMemberYou hit the nail on the head. I was watching Monday Night Raw. I also watch TNA (Its filmed here in Orlando and I know quite a few of the wrestlers personally)
Looks like we are going to avoid a special tag team “Hell in the Cell Match” with the Undertaker as the ref and Triple H as my partner and Hornswoggle teaming with Michael.
I just spoke with Michael and things are looking much better after I laid the smacketh down.
If you smelllllll what the Professor is Cookin!
March 4, 2008 at 10:53 pm #762510vladcizsolMemberWell sticking to wrestling talk for one more post.
In the words of JR:
Whoa Nellie! We may just have a slobber knocker on our hands after all. Word is the Professor went over to the TEAM GPWA training camp and two of the heels they agreed to send packing are still making the rounds…. Wrestlemania may just see a Hell in the cell match after all.
:hitthefan:angry:March 4, 2008 at 11:25 pm #762517AnonymousInactiveTalking about wrestling I’m about 90% done reading ‘Hitman’ the autobiography of Bret Hart, and it’s got some pretty good inside info on the whole wrestling business, from the Steroids to the whole WCW versus WWF conflict, you might want to pick it up if you are into that sort of thing. I am not much into wrestling, but Bret Hart was raised about an hour south of where I lived in Alberta so I had to pick it up.
March 4, 2008 at 11:49 pm #762519vladcizsolMemberBrett Hart was fabulous as a singles wrestler and as tag team partner with Jim “The Anvil” Neidhart. I was always a huge fan of “The Hitman”. As he was always saying “He’s the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be”.
It’s a shame he suffered a career ending concussion in the WCW, he could have stil be a major star if that hadnt happened. I also think the loss of his brother Owen left permanant emotional scars for him regarding the business.
He posts quite a bit at SLAM! Sports and has his own section:

I have to find time to read that book!
March 5, 2008 at 2:28 am #762525AnonymousInactiveOh God, my 25 year old son has that book and every other book ever written from wrestlers. He knows wayyyyyy to much about wrestling! loll…but he swears he is going to a wrestling school in los angles when he has enough money saved and WILL BE IN WWE SOMEDAY. and i have to believe him, he lives and breaths it. Professor if i told him you know some wrestlers personnally, he would be a member here so fast he wouldn’t have time to smell what your cookin!! lolllll
Hell in the cell match huh> well maybe we could make it a Ladder match and have gpwa’s reputation hanging from a h ook in the middle of the cage, and we could get the Dudleys on our team! lolllll
March 5, 2008 at 3:08 am #762527vladcizsolMemberDevon!

March 5, 2008 at 3:44 am #762529vladcizsolMemberGuys I am glad we can blow off a little steam and lighten the mood, but the concerns I originally brought up are still valid.
I have had some discussions with Michael and I am hopeful everything will work out for the best, but that does require specific actions to occur on the part of the GPWA Management.
When then those steps are made as we agreed to in good faith we can move forward. I urge everyone who is a member at GPWA to encourage Michael to do the right thing, particularly item 5, and put this all behind us without delay.
March 5, 2008 at 10:31 am #762554GaryBulgotirsMemberThis feud between CAP and GPWA is sad and frustrating. Our industry is facing so many really serious issues these days. There has never been a time when cooperation between these two organizations was more important or necessary.
Michael has apologized. It was a silly prank post that got blown way out of proportion. He has acknowledged that he acted without thinking. It’s time to forgive and forget and move on to the really important issues.
We, as an industry, need to work together to resolve the many problems affecting the players, affiliates, casinos and poker rooms. Come on guys! There are only a handful of groups fighting for our rights. We don’t need those groups fighting with each other. We need to join forces and work as partners if we hope to improve our lot.
Let’s work as a team to fix the industry. Let’s join forces to make a difference. Let’s shake hands and move past this.
March 5, 2008 at 1:05 pm #762559vladcizsolMemberGuys because this is still an open issue of discussion between Michael and myself I am closing this thread and archiving it shortly. He was courteous enough to close the multi page thread at GPWA and I will follow suit.
Let me reiterate. This whole mess does not effect the status of GPWA Members whatsoever. All of us have know each other for years and working together for years. Nothing has changed. All we are discussing is a business/managemnt issue that needs resolution between CAP management and GPWA management.
This was obviously a major headache none of us needed or wanted so lets things get sorted out and keep focused on the business we all have at hand.
