Hey, Gooner sorry to yell like this but I was thinking about signing up with them and wonder why you blacklist them? The reason is that I want to promote them to German traffic and they have a quasi monopoly there and should convert well.

Anybody else who had experiences with betandwin please let me know.

Betandwin.com (now named Bwin.com) are not BLACKLISTED .
BWin are listed as having failed the criteria we expect …

So what I’m saying is they’re not fraudulent – just incompetent.
They one of the poorest organised bookmakers on the planet.

I ran a test account there for 3 months – and during that time :
    – they incorrectly settled my account 4 times (always in their favour)
    – they locked the account twice – for suspiscious activity.
    – they always took 48/72 hours+ to respond to anything.

We also trialled them to a limited number of users with the caveat that although prices and selection was good – the service was poor.

Nearly 80% of the players that used them had problems with them – and would ont use them past the trial.

Frankly, I cannot afford to have them on the site – despite their size and the exposure – as they take too long to sort out all the problems that people have with them.

    IN SUMMARY :
If you play with BWin.com then you can expect to have account hassles – players dont need that – I dont need that.

I do NOT think that they would keep customers long term – its just too much hassle – and there are much better books out there.

Thanks a lot for letting me in on the details. The only reason they are this massive in Germany must be this quasi monopoly and the fact that they absolutely blasted the TV screens with ads. Until….that law by the institutional court got passed and now you can´t find a single ad on TV anymore.

Anyway, as you said I rather send my traffic to good European bookmakers such as Betsson, Eurobet, Bet365 etc. in hope of good retention.

Since I also saw that Bwin engaged in a fair bit of empire building by buying pokerroom.com and their other properties I wouldn´t feel quite confident that my players will not receive extensive mailings for offers from all these other places without me getting credit. I´m sure they do that. These two Austrian guys at the helm of bwin are sneaky bastards.

I personally have never had a problem with them and have been using them for quite a while now.

Surprises me to read what you wrote Gooner. Really did not expect that. Difficult to, since they have not given me a problem at all.

The only European book I have had problems at is bet365.

Peralis, did they move you to the higher comission tier then? What kind of revenue per month do you have to make before you can request to get 35%?

I may give them a shot and see how it goes. Just a bit unsure about the legal situation. I don´t want to send them punters only to find out that they have to shut up shop overnight.

    Hi Goldfinger,

I do not promote them – I meant that I use them as a personal player account. We do not promote sportsbetting.

    Cheers

As fate would have it, a few days after I stood up for them here I tried playing there again. deposited 100 euros and when I purchased casino chips a technical error occurred where the money “disappeared”. Have been trying to sort this for almost a week now. They admit that a mistake happened – see that I deposited – yet have not been able to refund the money yet. They have also been very unresponsive in this whole mess.

Will not be recommending them to anybody any time soon.

Thanks, for the heads up peralis. I will think twice now before I give them a chance. Maybe have a little trial period at best. :hattip:
