Spamming on the internet of the online gambling sector has became epidemic almost. As a webmaster who plays by the rules, I definitely have no problem reporting spamming on the internet.
I understand how frustrating it is to click on a search result and not get the expected results. Well thanks to be able to report these results. I spend about a half an hour a day reporting spamming gambling websites.
I keep one window open for the google spam page as I have it saved in my favorites. Keep another window open with the search results and check the ones that I figure are the spamming websites.
To me it has become second nature to figure out the spammers by their website urls. Usually about 95% correct as to which ones are the spammers with their redirects.
Well I can usually report 30-40 in a half an hour this way, and yes Google has started to remove them.
What I like about report spam websites is that it makes the internet a better place for everyone. I definitely appreciate to get the expected results when I am checking on the internet.
With Google cleaning up spamming gambling websites this may have something to do with the Internet Gambling Prohibition Act. Wouldn’t it be in Google’s favor to clean up the industry as it makes them money indirectly by things that are related to online gambling via Google Adsense.
Wouldn’t Google be losing money if all those Google adds on the right side of your computer screen disappeared in the United States if online gambling is prohibited. They are not about to lose money so it is in their best interest also to clean up on spamming of gambling websites on the internet.
Well that is my point.:roflmao:

It’s good that Google removes them.. It’s also good that spam can be reported… But that’s not the major problemAs long as spam is tolerated, endorsed by ignoring or generated by the program’s direct or indirect employees in order to gain more profits. Spam will exist in such volumes.
You can spend hours of spam reporting, it will not end it!
Why should us, the hard workers spend more time and efforts in fighting it more and more via reports?
If you don’t take weed out from the root, it will grow again and faster.
Once spam is really not tolerated and ignored.. it will decrease.

SPAMMER – redirects from SEOEXP.INFO. This Moscow-based spammer creates new sites every single day.
These sites “silently” redirect from SEOEXP.INFO. Place cursor over the IE BACK button, and you will see the “silent” redirect from SEOEXP.INFO.
These are today’s latest creations:

August 12, 2006 at 2:45 am #701856AnonymousInactiveNot only Russia, but a hole gang of them, some from Paris ect…
August 12, 2006 at 2:46 am #701857AnonymousInactiveI am convinced that this has become a lost cause. Crafty spammers will ALWAYS beat the search engines to the punch. This guy (SEOEXP.INFO) realeases sites in a dribble fashion over time, to always replenish those that have been eliminated. Even though he is a skunk, he is a crafty skunk, and I’m afraid to say, he will always win.
I don’t believe the Search Engines have enough negativity at stake here, to combat this, especially since there is Adsense revenue in the mix.
There is a reason for everything, and I cannot believe that the Search Engine designers could not have come up with automated checks and detection to prevent entry of this spam into their indices. Like I said, there is a reason for everything.
Maybe it’s time to go back to work and get a real job……

SEOEXP.INFO is from Moscow. He/she is the only one I am commenting
on.August 12, 2006 at 2:54 am #701859AnonymousInactiveThey only win if we let them. One of these has already been yanked from google in less than 24 hours. It ranked page 2 out of 127,000,000 pages.
I think I will have a close look at this person. greek39^*

August 12, 2006 at 3:05 am #701862AnonymousInactiveGreek,
The only way we can win is 2 ways:
1) Report spam, and have someting done about it. However, this
puts a major dependency on search engine cooperation. We cannot
do it from reporting alone.2) We resort to cheating better than the cheats.
I personally could never do # 2, but this inevitably will be resorted to by some – “if they get away with it, why not me ?” syndrome.
I truly believe it is a lost cause.
August 12, 2006 at 3:12 am #701864AnonymousInactiveGreek,
Yes, I got this info from WHOIS server as well.
This spammer will continue to buy and move around to different subdomains and domains, and when SEOEXP.INFO gets turned off, he/she will move on to using an alternate domain.
You see, we will never win, unless Search Engines decide they want to stop the spam. I see absolutely no indication of that happening.
I am frustrated for sure, but I now understand that I cannot win, and will need to move on accordingly.
The “system” is designed to reward the cheaters, and not the hard-workers. Unfortunately, this is reality…………..
August 12, 2006 at 3:32 am #701866AnonymousInactiveIts not that the system is designed for cheats, malicious blasting. This is huge topic, its in the best interest of the SE’s to stop spam. The system is not perfect and has been that way since the beginning.
These people take a stick of dynamite and blast their way through exploitable holes.
This SEOEXP.INFO is 403 not 404. I will try and find out more and let you know. greek39
