So far in 2011, Google has made some pretty significant changes to its search engine algorithms: More Big Changes for Google’s Search Algorithms
Have any of your sites been impacted by these recent changes? Some websites have reported major drops because of these changes — is yours one of ’em? If so, let us know, and maybe the community can pitch in to help.
March 7, 2011 at 5:29 pm #815087cashforaccountMemberWith the new algo change it was against sites with duplicate content and people who just scrape it off other sites.
If you do none of these then your site should be safe and you will have not seen much change in your rankings really.

Well, there are 2 algorithmic shifts of late that have caused major uproar in the SEO community:
1) As you said, the “scraper” algorithm, which punishes scraper sites, to a level never seen;
2) The “AdSense Farm” algorithm, which punishes MFA (Made-for AdSense) sites that pretty
much are content-devoid, and who’s sole purpose for existence is to just run AdSense
Ads (and collect from it).Although these major Google changes have focused on the 2 above, there are countless of other sites that were hit, and those who exhibited the above, but who were not punished. So, once again, the community is left hypothesizing and hanging in the wind…..
