I am glad I am not american right now.Democracy (literally “rule by the people”, from the Greek δημοκρατία-demokratia demos, “people,” and kratos, “rule”)
Did the people vote on the online gambling laws? Bush is looking more like a dictator every day.

Lost it all in 2001 when they downsized, actually my exit interview was on 9/11/01. Did get a decent package though. Others in my department lost over 800k in stock options.January 16, 2007 at 4:29 pm #722791AnonymousInactivedamiandunlap wrote:If this is true, then Pinnacle Sports acted responsibly by complying with US law given the current climate the online gambling industry is currently facing. When asked whether Weitzner believed Pinnacle Sports had prior knowledge about the NETeller arrests, he stated, “Does it Matter?”
So waiting to comply with the new law until receiving knowledge of these arrest was a responsible act? What an idiotic claim.
If I had prior knowledge that one of my colleagues was going to face similar heat I would most likely tip them off so that they could take it into consideration and possibly avoid the heat; so I guess it might matter.
Guess its time to get out of Neteller; not worth taking a chance!
January 16, 2007 at 4:35 pm #722794biggygMemberMy nephew had 23 years with them ,average purchase was was $46.00 a share ,his 120,000 went down to about 8000.00 .On the other hand I bought 30,000 shares at .75 cents and then more at 1.10 .I think it is about 4.00 now , i havent checked them in ages.I cashed out my initial investment and now just playing with the profits.I have been playing the currency game for almost 20 years though .You can make a decent amount in the long run just trading the usd and canadian money.Nobody parks their money in term deposits for 3% anymore. One of my currencies has paid me 30% in last 2 months.
Oh and for those thinking i was born with silver spoon , in 1984 i left home with 300.00 and the clothes on my back.January 16, 2007 at 4:43 pm #722797AnonymousInactiveThat would be a wise move AXL get off Neteller. Hail to demos kratos “democracy” in its truest form. Rule by the people for the people not by these special moralistic interest groups. I hate to say it the U.S is becoming a scary place. I can hardly bare to watch CNN anymore. Life, Liberty, and the persuit of happiness is vanishing I see it everyday. People are great but the governing bodies certainly need to better protect and uphold the Constitution.
What ever happened to the Country I used to love?

They could have done that long ago no need to wait for these particular arrest.
This country? It’s run by an elite egotistical group of greedy FRs’. Things usually are pretty one sided when subconscious greed is a controlling factor, specially when those who have the trait have some level of control.

January 16, 2007 at 5:46 pm #722812AnonymousInactiveYou guys are funny, seriously just cool out, Neteller is going nowhere
We’re talking about the world’s leading online banking company who are backed by several independant billionaire types each with their own military, James Bond style
Even America is not stupid enough to undermine the authority of 32 seperate nations and risk going to war with the likes of England and Canada, never mind these James Bond bad guy types.
Although i did say a while back that this was the direction they were headed in, and you all scoffed at my theory of a war between Canada and the US
I guess you guys down there would consider arresting Canadian businessmen for no good reason as being a good neighbour
Seriously, the US is trying to instigate conflict because the stakes are high and the rewards are huge, and you know how much the US gov’s love their coin.
If they are arresting people just for being shareholders then they will have some mighty big fish to fry, here’s one of them…

Here’s a pic of the one Neteller guy who got busted
http://www.eog.com/news/full-article.aspx?id=16802
It is interesting though, the current head man at Neteller, Gordon Herman is a Canadian who received his business diplomas in the US at BYU and Notre Dame
The only thing going on here is that the US are trying to enforce ridiculous new laws that nobody recognizes as being legit, and everything will be back to normal in a couple days
January 16, 2007 at 5:54 pm #722815AnonymousInactiveThe office of the US attorney in New York, southern district, has confirmed they will be issuing a press release at 5.45 UK time regarding the arrests on Monday of former Neteller directors Stephen Lawrence and John Lefebvre.
The spokesperson would not comment any further other than to confirm this is a Federal matter rather than a state matter. Egaming Review will update as soon as the statement is issued.
This will be interesting…
