Just because I’m an affiliate, this doesn’t give AM’s an open invitation to whore their programs at my front door. If I don’t personally provide my email to your program then don’t contact me, simply. Becuase contacting me means you have acquired my email address without permission and which means your spamming your affiliate program to me.

If I was interested in signing up I’d do so, if not I wont.

Also, I don’t care if FireBrandAffiliates is a GPWA sponsor; frankly that means nothing they’ll let anyone sponsor them who ponies up with cash.

I agree. Got their spam also. I don’t care where they bought/borrowed/stolen my email but I’m pretty sure I didn’t give it to them. All the more reason not to start working with this program.

I shouldn’t have also added that I was addressed as “Dear Webmaster”. That proves they don’t know me and have gained my email from dubious sources.

I don’t actually use the email address I got this sent to in any of my program sign-ups. The only people who have this specific email are a handful of AM’s and some affiliates too. Though it used as my contact email on all my sites. Possibly how someone got it and that’s how it’s being sold.

I’m pretty sure the affiliates (friends) aren’t selling this info. So that leaves the handful of AM’s. Which to be frank, given what’s going on lately in the industry, nothing surprises me.

Msybe if I’m bored I’ll play join the dots and see if I can drill it down.

I don’t generally mind receiving an e-mail from an affiliate manager. I don’t particularly mind one chaser, either. I do mind five, six, seven or more chasers. I think I’ve received more e-mail from Firebrand in the last year than I’ve ever received from any other program. They send ALOT of e-mails and it is offputting.

    That’s a good point mate!

Thinking about it’s generally those programs who spam to start with, who continue to send multiple chasers, hey?

Think 1 mail as an introduction and some kind of offer for you to work with a new program is alright, especially if they are new & you are a well established affiliate (as you are). The generic ”Dear Webmaster” part is horrible and instantly would make me not to work with a program. I mean if they can’t even type a personalised E-Mail, they definitely don’t deserve tens of thousands in potential revenue.

In September 2012, Nayomhi Millar at Firebrand Affiliates created an affiliate account for me, on my behalf, WITHOUT my permission. This pissed me off considerably and I decided there and then never to work with this brand. I instructed Firebrand to close the unauthorised account and not contact me again.

The following day, Samantha Pacquiao sent me login details for my unwanted account! I could not have been more clear:

“I have NOT asked you to create an account for me, as I explained yesterday. Delete my details, please.”

Later the same month (September 2012), Cristine Reyes at Firebrand Affiliates spammed me again, promoting Firebrand affiliates. Again, I believe my reply was clear:

“REMOVE my e-mail address from your system. You are AWARE that I do not wish to work with you – this is spam and your next will be reported publicly.”

In January 2013, Cristine Reyes at Firebrand spammed me again. I ignored this e-mail.

Today, I have received more spam from Cristine Reyes Firebrand Affiliates.

I will never work with this outfit. Firebrand, stop spamming me. NOW.
