we are now sorted with GPWA

    Hi Alex,
Could you elaborate on this for everyone that has been watching the whole fiasco?

I think that’s a fair question at this point.

The GPWA and APCW have been relentless about the CardSpike Ownership relationship between LOU/CAP, and other Affiliate Run Programs by Effective Media for weeks now.

IE: Cardspike is owned by LOU, CAP, Effective Media, Etc.
Other Affiliate programs are also being run by Effective Media.

Are you saying that all of these questions have been resolved and answered now, for the GPWA via Michael’s representation???

Can we expect a statement from Lou and Michael on these important issues?

Thanks in Advance for your response.

    Nick

Alex made a very nice post at GPWA about this. Did you read this? http://www.gpwa.org/forum/526695-post117.html

Guys – Just wanted to clarify a few things – A member of my staff (after being told by Lou) asked security to remove Steven from the hotel – As soon as I was made aware of this I reversed the decision and had security appologise to Steven.

This was one massive mistake on our part and I am happy to admit it – Steven should never have been escorted out of the venue and we have since (myself and CAP) done our best to make it up to Steven, Michael, etc including aquiring the CCTV footage so we can review the methods the security used which I understand was not appropriate and will of course assist Steven with any complaints he wants to make to the security company.

The good news is that we were able to sort all the Casino City, GPWA and APCW staff with badges the following day on top of having two meetings between CAP and GPWA which in my opinion were really positive.

Again HUGE appologies to Steven – It is not an excuse but Lou has been under a hell of a lot of pressure recently and has received numerous threatening and nasty emails/letters from anonymous people and I think this just built up to London – This is not an excuse but it goes someway to explaining how this situtaion happended – Lou did the following day appologise to both Michael and Steven about his behaviour the previous day which I think is a really great step forward

SO – Lets please not dwell on the negative and stick to the positive and move forward which I truely believe we can do now – We messed up but we made amends as soon as we could and are really keen to build on the positives that came out of this situation.

If you have any questions or need anything else I am just at the end of a PM or email

If you read all that Alex said in that string at GPWA, I think he explained things very well, and wrote a very nice and well explained post.

I do feel like the issue with Steven being escorted out of the hotel in London is an issue of it’s own, and that part has been resolved I guess. It also sounds like CAP and GPWA at least had a nice talk or two, which is better then the words they were shooting back and forth.

Cardspike, Absolute Slots, and other issues I don’t think should be tied to this issue in London. IMO

PS: I’m not looking to belabor the entire Hotel Incident.

Honestly, no one was really hurt, so who cares.
Some bruised egos, but so what.

I’m MUCH more interested in CAP, The GPWA, The GIA, Casinomeister, and any other worthy forum entities getting everything out in the open completely, fully, and honestly as it pertains to Affiliate Conflicts of interest.

Anything less than that is unacceptable, IMO.

IF you read the string at GPWA that I linked to, it sounded to me like they’ve begun talking. Not like they’re now best friends or anything. Everything has to start somewhere.

    Hi Daera,
I’m not concerned about the Hotel incident.
It was unfortunate, but that’s about it, IMO.

Nothing in that post from Alex at the GPWA addresses the problem that brought the whole thing on.
THAT’S what we would all like to clear up.
If it is all sorted as Alex says, then I assume some statements will be forthcoming on the Effective Media and Cardspike relationships.
That’s my question. Has nothing to do with the fights, just Alex’s statement that things are sorted with the GPWA.
    Alex said:

I am asking for clarification on this so we know exactly what was sorted.

The Hotel incident, OR the CardSpike/Affiliate Management connections the GPWA has been agressively reporting on for weeks,….OR BOTH!!!

I don’t really know Alex at all, or what his role is here at CAP. I thought he mostly was involved with organizing these conferences and events. I didn’t think he had any ownership like Lou and Warran and didn’t think he was responsible for any of the things you mentioned.

    Maybe I missed something.

Alex IMHO has always been the coolest, nicest person involved in these events. Wish I could have been there.
