Michael, jTodd and Steve were given badges today and were attending the conference freely.
Marc Lesnik was also in attendance, as were Lou and Warren.
Everyone was in the usual good mood.Looks like some things are getting straightened out now. About time, I had enough headaches the last couple days to deplete all my Tylenol supply.

February 2, 2009 at 9:29 am #794202AnonymousInactiveJust to confirm
One of my members of staff requested security escort Steven Corfman be escorted from the hotel – As soon as I found out about this (within 10mins) I sorted it and had securtity appologise to Steven and let him back in – This should never have happend and my member of staff feels really bad. I am also helping Steven deal with the Novotel as security were apparently a little rough (To clarify: not rough as in beat him up but more like when a bouncer lifts you out of a club) which I of course am angry about as is not how I expect a security company to behave in an situtaion.
The good news is that we had a great meeting with GPWA and I believe we will be moving forward positively and they were all let into the event the following day.
Lets hope we can now all get back on with our jobs. If you have any questions or need anything at all please feel free to PM or email me.

February 2, 2009 at 4:22 pm #794244PngigdgaMemberWhat was the point of your post Elgoog? Its nothing that hasnt been posted before, and I am sure that everyone on here has access to what is known as The Internet.
Its all done, its all finished. Let Michael, J., Lou (if he is still involved) and Warren sort it out.

February 2, 2009 at 5:13 pm #794250AnonymousInactiveInitial thoughts;
a) Why did GPWA turn up at CAP London when there was clearly seething animosity between them and CAP?
b) Why were they invited given this?
It seems so inevitable it looks intentional. Does J Todd think he’s Roger Cook or something?
* This was in response to the deleted post.

I was wondering the same questions too.
If there was bad blood brewing , WHY would you want to make an appearence, it was just seems logical that some type of situation would erupt.
I know that they (GPWA’ers) wanted to talk and meet thier contacts , but why not do it outside of the convention area, being it was a CAP function. If it was me I would have.February 2, 2009 at 10:45 pm #794277neophyteMemberIf there was bad blood brewing , WHY would you want to make an appearence, it was just seems logical that some type of situation would erupt.

how are u gonna drag contacts away to meet em outisde the event venue when it’s windy and raining without looking like a moron, or spilling the beans about the cap/gpwa war?
obviously most of these people aren’t worried about looking like morons.
February 2, 2009 at 11:01 pm #794281AnonymousInactiveGuys please carry on discussing this but I honestly reckon there isn’t much to add – Its done, we are now sorted with GPWA and can at last move on.
The whole thing with Steven was one massive fu*& up and I am glad we were able to sort it pretty fast and even more glad we were able to all sit down like adults and discuss the past few months and I hope move on.Now here is to a positive and happy 2009!
