I didn’t realise how financially linked Zynga and Facebook are.
Zynga generates 12% of Facebooks revenue. That’s scary. That’s like saying, I have one affiliate who generates 12% of my affiliate programs / casinos / poker room / sportsbook revenue.
Lose that, and it hurts.
Reading tech blogs around the net, Facebook seems to flex its muscle at Zynga, by not featuring Zynga games on FB. Zynga’s stock price – did Facebook force it down?
It wouldn’t surprise me if Zynga looks at ways to minimise their reliance on Facebook – whereas Facebook needs Zynga.
