    This is NOT a typo…

Google is working with European Union Regulators to agree upon a settlement to avoid a potential fine of $3.8 Billion for antitrust violations. For all of the details on what the violations entail and the details, read more here:

EU Could Fine Google $3.8 Billion

They came up with the figure because the Europeam Commission is allowed to fine Google up to 10% of its annual revenue (in 2011 they made out with $37.9 Billion) Looks like this is going to turn into an extensive and expensive legal battle…

Beats the 20million FTC got from Google.
    3.8 Billon, serious lesson.
20 million – we’d do it again and give you another 20 million.

    Wowee Zowee.

Tut tut Google. Looks like someone is watching closely.

I wonder if the EU market is actually 10% of their revenue.

I quess they didn’t contribute enough to the right political parties over there.
(not that I would ever imply anything sinister or of having any real knowlege of the facts – purely ‘smarting’ from penguin and panda)

    (penalties ‘suck’ don’t they)
