The ACLU is supposed to be throwing their hat in the ring. I think that may have more of a chance to have an impact then an EU effort.

The only problem we have is the ACLU has been emasculated by far right wing nuts over the last eight years and I dont know how much clout they have anymore in the mainstream public. You can be sure right wing controlled media like Fox News, Time/Newsweek and CNN will do everything in their power to discredit anything the ACLU does.

How did we let this cancer grow in our country unchecked?

    Who is the ACLU, please?
    Is it Antiqua?

No cat the ACLU is an acronym for American Civil Liberties Union. In the past it was a major political power in the United States and they were adept at challenging things in the court system and righting things and laws that were wrong. http://www.aclu.org/

Antigua is a beautiful island to visit but their chances of effecting any change on US policy, even with the WTO, is 0%.

I think that the Professor meant left wing causes since they protect flag burning and the raping of children (MA).

I think that’s a bit out of line.

They have protected civil freedoms of all types for a long time and they are NOT into child rapes. What kind of nonsense is that?

Someone needs to look out for freedom, there is precious little left.

They defend child rapiest. (Good case in point is the Nambla case in Mass.)

Dont waste your breath Dom. Once they are brainwashed by the right then thats the attitude.

Freedom of Speach and Rights to Privacy and even Online Gambling are Commie Pinko Ideals to the right wing drones.

Bleuze we are all supporting terrorists and money laundering and are anti american here too by supporting online gambling which is against the law right?

So, because of one small court case, we should support the Right? The very side that has DESTROYED the country? The side that would love nothing more than to take away EVERY bit of remaining freedom we have under the guise of “protecting” the people? The side that started a war over NOTHING? Over weapons of mass destruction that DID NOT EXIST? The side that arrested the founders of Neteller? The side that is responsible for f***ing up everyone’s financial situation here at CAP?

    Got crack?

Professor, I’m with you on many things that infinge on our rights – including online gambling. In fact, I’m the one that says the EU and others lack balls to arrest and or fine US company officals whose companies violate their country’s laws and letting the US cause trade infringement in the world.
    Yes, I’m a conservative.
Yes, I don’t believe in allowing pot smoking.
Yes, I do not want to support those that provide instructions on man/boy relationships.
Yes, I do not want to have our flag set on fire.
Yes, I do not want to change our pledge.
Yes, I believe that only the US flag should be flown on our soil.

Arguing over politics is a waste of everyone’s time. This is a great forum for discussing what we love to do – GAMBLE

    Exactly Engineer.
But the Right Wing dont see it that way do they? They never let the facts sway them from the rhetoric.

Its sound bite politics for them. Support us no matter how horrible we are or you are Traitors, UnAmerican, Against the Troops, Baby killers or child rapists. Thats the lies and bullshit they pedal…

Agreed on that respect and this is my last polictal commentary, but you said:

Yes, I’m a conservative. Then you should support less government intervention into our private lives not more.

Yes, I don’t believe in allowing pot smoking.
Why, America was founded on the belief in personal freedoms. If someone chooses to smoke pot in the privacy of their home and aren’t bothering you what right do you have to criminalize that? If you argue that its not healthy then why are cigarettes and alcohol legal? Or should we prohibit those too? Conservatives SAY we dont want the government legislating everything then they do something totally different. Thats hypocritcal to the core.

Yes, I do not want to support those that provide instructions on man/boy relationships.
I dont either and that is illegal as it should be. It’s right wing smoke as usual. You are either to the right or you are a child molester. Hitler used these same tactics 60 years ago, you were either a good Nazi or a sub-human monster who needed to be purged from society.

Yes, I do not want to have our flag set on fire.
I dont either, but thats neither here nor there.

Yes, I do not want to change our pledge.
    Ok, thats fine I agree.

Yes, I believe that only the US flag should be flown on our soil.
Other then state flags what flags do you see flying?

Ok I know I said I wouldnt say anything else, but Bleuzes response is EXACTLY what I expect many people in the mainstream will say if and when the ACLU steps in to help us.

The far right wing have warped peoples mind to believe that the ACLU is only there to protect flag burners and child rapists and not to protect American Civil Liberties.

    to whom it may concern,

who are you to tell me what I can or can’t do in the privacy of my own home if I’m not hurting anyone else?

the pot smoking thing really got me started. Its people like that which have made this country much less than it used to be.

If I want to light one up in the privacy of my own home, just what gives anybody the right to say I can or can’t. Alcohol and tobacco kill thousands every year, and when compared to smoking a little pot …. that’s rediculous and you ought to get your facts straight before you go shoving your beliefs on others who have done nothing to harm your way of life.

    geez!
