All they really need is your EcoCard account number to do the transfer.

That information is necessary for EcoCard to wire your money back to your personal bank account. (It is not necessary to give that information to the affiliate programs, though).February 14, 2007 at 8:40 pm #727335AnonymousInactiveWith regards to Fortis, that is a top European bank. I would have absolutely no worries opening an account with them.
I´m sure your funds will be covered by some stringent Dutch or Belgian banking law up to a certain amount. In Germany I think you´re covered up to € 30k in the event that the bank goes belly up. For you to lose your money I guess Cheney would have to go there and seize it himself.I would trust this bank more than any e-wallet upshot :1circling
if indeed we´re all talking about the same Fortis bank

February 25, 2007 at 4:14 am #728584AnonymousInactiveIs the swift code they ask for the same as my routing number ?
Also do they have a debit card

No they dont have a debit card.
February 25, 2007 at 2:09 pm #728598AnonymousInactiveNo, its not the same. You have to ask your bank for the swift code.
Dang it… I entered my routing number in the Swift Code section… I made a withdrawel to my bank account last week, and according to your previous post of “7 days” it should be cleared and hitting my bank account this upcoming Tuesday… Now I wonder what will happen because I put the routing number in instead of a “swift code”?
Any ideas on what to do, please?
February 25, 2007 at 2:48 pm #728600AnonymousInactiveHello Sis_Corner,
Not all banks have Swift Codes, but ALL banks DO have routing numbers. If you used your Routing number, then all will go as planned. No problem.

I know it has already been answered.here’s part of the email EcoCard support sent me, the full support email is about 7 posts in on this thread.
SWIFT code – It is the unique identification code of a particular Bank.
These codes are used when transferring money between banks, particularly international transfers. The code is 8 or 11 characters. In case you don’t know your Swift code, please enter ABA/routing number in the Swift code field.
February 26, 2007 at 12:38 pm #728637AnonymousInactiveThanks Slotplayer! My withdrawel has now been moved from suspended to transferred to Danske bank. Tomorrow will be the 7th day.. hopefully it hits then :satisfied
February 28, 2007 at 4:09 pm #729004AnonymousInactiveJust wanted to post an update.. the funds hit my bank account a few minutes ago… BUT – $100 (exactly) short.
I have written Ecocard about this… very odd, since in my Ecocard account is says the entire amount was transferred, but my bank reflects differently.
Will repost when I receive an answer.
Anyone else have this issue?
March 15, 2007 at 2:36 am #730795AnonymousInactiveSigned up with EcoCard – I’m aware that there’s a $10 fee to withdraw.
Now the crunch.
My bank tells me that to deposit any amount with EcoCard via Bank Wire (which is the only method available that I can see) will cost $50. I don’t need to deposit but apparently it is necessary in order to establish the account with EcoCard.
My bank also says that to receive money via Bank Wire (once again the only method of withdrawing from EcoCard that I can see) is also $50.
We’re talking $60 for every withdrawal from EcoCard to my bank and apparently these charges are the same if you’re banking offshore.
Anyone have a suggestion or comment – boing, boing :1circling
Maybe I’m just reiterating what everyone already knows – but either the penny didn’t drop or I’m slow :tooconfus
