Different strokes for different folks.
I personally usually like to talk to the program in question and sort things out. If they are unresponsive I just drop them.
If a sizeable group of affiliates is affected and no one will take the time to talk to me, I do discuss it in public to see if the situation can be remedied.
I much prefer fixing things to dropping programs, but there are a number I dropped just like that. Most often due to lack of performance caused by negative carry overs or bundling and sometimes for unresponsiveness.
