Hi all,
I’m trying to transfer a domain AWAY from godaddy to another registrar. I just can’t find how to initiate the process. Does anyone know how to do it at Godaddy?
I only know that I need to change the domain TAG, but I’m missing the exact way to do it.
Well, I think you would have to
1. unlock domain at godaddy
2. go to the new registrar and request the transferthe new registrar should then contact goDaddy and ask to transfer the domain
Godaddy should then email you with instructions on how to approve the transfer.
You approve and the domain will be transfered.

“you” is the origanal owner
In adition of the “unlock domain” you have to disable the “whois privacy” during all the term of the transfer.
Godaddy will send you the Authorization Code and from that, there is only a cup of days of “do nothing” and the transfer is done.
