Hello all,
I have a quick question for you all, do you think LuxuryPoker.com has any value? I submitted it for the auction coming up in Budapest and it was declined. I have had many people express to me that they thought it had a pretty good value to it in the past. I was planning to wait and see if the US market opened back up in which domains would be harder to come by with everyone try to get in but thought I would consider offers in Budapest. What are your thoughts?
Thanks,
Ace

What gives a domain value?
is it at least a keyword phrase? your is not in my opinion. It is short and easy to remember so someone may like it for brandable potential but thats really just it. Domains that are high traffic potential keyword phrases that actually have search volume have value.Build at the least a mini site and get the domain name listed and some page rank and the value will increase but you still need to find a buyer.
A mini site may generate some revenue while the domain name is for sale.

Domains in that theme that might have appeared more such as LuxuryCar.com, LuxuryWatch.com and LuxuryHoliday.com appear to be parked or various cheap script link engines rather than developed sites while LuxuryCasino.com is simply sitting with a holding page saying coming soon.
Is there any special poker meaning or casino branding behind “Luxury” in the US that I don’t know about?
I’d say the domain has potential to be branded – and that’s an increasingly rare thing these days – but I’m not sure if the name has much intrinsic value yet. It’s a catchy enough name – and could become a good destination – but right off the bat it does not appear to have any immediate advantages or obvious value.
