Hi all,
that doesn’t explain why peer to peer transactions were able to take place long after the ability to withdrawal was taken away in respect to if the DOJ had frozen funds.
February 4, 2007 at 5:57 pm #725806biggygMemberwell I think maybe over the past couple weeks the rules have been changing for neteller , lawyers probably gave different opinion or more importantly their accounting Department said they cant afford to lose all the money in the accounts and since 75% of their books is from USA they had to keep something back. The reasons dont matter ,end result is what counts now.
February 4, 2007 at 7:06 pm #725809AnonymousInactiveI don’t think the DOJ has frozen the funds at all. If you notice the story keeps changing with Neteller. At first it was, relax, it will just take longer because of the huge volume of withdrawals. Now we are suppose to believe that DOJ has fozen the money even though nobody at Neteller has been charged with a crime.
I hope to have some answers from my bank in a few days, since you can’t get anything believable out of Neteller.
February 5, 2007 at 12:07 am #725837AnonymousInactiveTo add to this discussion, I just tried logging into my NETeller account and it has been closed. I’m NOT in the US, in fact I’m in Australia. I had a USD account.
I’ve emailed them to see what the problem is. Will post when I hear back from them.
CheersFebruary 5, 2007 at 12:41 am #725842biggygMemberI posted in another topic that last night i tried to take my last bit of money from my USD neteller account and it wouldnt let me do it .My canadian card worked fine and i got 1000.00 from that one today but USD account is not working for me ,only 68 bux usd left in it but i think this means all USA accounts even outside usa are No longer working.

I called NETeller and they said the reason they closed my account is because I tried logging in from work, which apparently shows my IP in a different country. This is the second time they have done this. They’ve fixed it now.
I can also use my NETeller ATM card which is also in USD.Good luck guys!
February 5, 2007 at 12:55 am #725844biggygMemberok it is -40 degrees here in Canada or I would go and see if my card will work again .It may have been the bank machine frozen solid LOL .Ill go and check my card again tomorrow
February 6, 2007 at 2:42 pm #726213AnonymousInactiveIf something is freezed is in the US, on US bank accounts. The DOJ cannot freeze euro money held in the UK. I don’t believe Neteller has much money on US banks.
Non-US users are able to withdraw money and to put money into casinos, poker rooms, betting exchanges and others in seconds as always.
February 6, 2007 at 3:16 pm #726229biggygMemberok my neteller card worked today , I GOT IT ALL EXCEPT 13.00 OUT THIS MORNING .I will blame RBC bank machine for the problem a few days ago

hehe
am happy for you guys and galls !!February 7, 2007 at 4:42 pm #726412AnonymousInactiveI blanked or x’ed out personal information from the emails.
From me to them:
In the past, I have received money transfers from another online ewallet called Neteller directly into my (blank) checking account. Is (blank) still accepting these transfers as of today?
The reason I ask is that I initiated a small transfer from Neteller to the (blank) account and it has been stuck in “pending” status there since January 17th, 2007. (It usually only takes a couple of business days) I am trying to determine on what end it is being held up – Neteller’s or (blank). I am receiving a mix of unclear information from them and want to know if maybe (blank) stopped doing business with them.
Their response:
Thank you for your email regarding questions you have about (blank) services. The swift code to use for your transactions is (blank). Please insure that you are using the correct routing and account number for your Neteller transactions, because as long as the information is correct we will accept transactions from a variety of sources. Thank you for your patience in regards to this matter.
It doesn’t appear to me that our banks are the problem then. And now that I think about the UIGEA, there is no reason for Neteller not to process cashouts. I could understand if they were concerned after the arrests of their founders and wanted to stop facilitating money being transferred into the gambling establishments, but I see no problem with it coming out. Isn’t that the point of the law?
