I’ve noticed my sign-ups for the month of july is way down compared to the last few months even though my traffic is only slightly down. I was wondering if sign-ups slow down or increase during holidays and vacation months such as July 4th?
Might be a crazy question but seems like for some other holidays my site slowed down? thanks for you input

July 9, 2005 at 9:16 pm #668293AnonymousInactiveI run a sports gambling based site … and I certainly do notice a drop in sign-ups when the major leagues are not playing …
Conversely I notice that my Casino and Poker sites get a bit of a boost during the down months … I guess becuase sports gambliers look for something else to give them their betting fix.
I guess it depends on the type of people that you have visiting your site …

1) Where you live – I live in Canada…and signups are more frequent during the winter for sure when everyone is cooped up inside watching hockey (LOL) and football.
2) How you market – If you spend time outdoors to market offline a lot…the summer can be great if you know WHERE to market.
3) How much effort you put into things – we all go through lags and inspired times.
4) Luck of the Irish! – LOL…just though I’d throw in the uncontrollable factor.
In my opinion…summer sucks! :turkey:

I don’t know what it is but sign-ups are still kinda slow this month but who knows a couple good days over the next 2 weeks could change all that. (positive attitude..lol)
I have’nt done any marketing offline I’m still in the process of trying to get my site rank up in the search engines so far not much luck.
