Does anyone know who is the dmoz editor for http://dmoz.org/Games/Gambling/Consultants/Online/Affiliate_Opportunities/
I believe there have been additions here in the past few months but can not seem to get our site listed. But some of the links are dead, I have applied to become an editor but still no luck.

Have you applied to become an editor of this category? If so your chances of being approved are less than 1%. Try starting out with a low traffic and low financially yielding category and work that for a few years. I take care of a martial arts section which is a full time job!
Nonetheless, it seems that DMOZ is back in action :1circling

The category I chose is very small, it only lists affiliate programs, this is not a main stream category. I also applied to become an editor and my application is in the system but can take up to 3 months.

April 2, 2007 at 7:18 pm #732773AnonymousInactiveI have been waiting their approve of my site for more than a 1,5 year and I’ve stopped waiting it, because I think it’s impossible.
April 2, 2007 at 10:43 pm #732783AnonymousInactiveBack in the year 2000 or so I applied to noncommercial categories that had no editors. For an example Sylvan Lake which is a small town 10 minutes from where I live. Some others were authors. It did not matter what profile or email address I used and made up I could never get approved.
I agree it is nearly impossible to get a websites listed there. What pisses me off is how much weight google still gives the backlinks.

http://www.garysmomsbingopage.com was approved at dmoz this week.I submitted it back in november .The trick is to find a catagory that is not really busy and they tend to like a site dedicated to only one topic such as poker/blackjack or in my case bingo. The sites that have all games together are harder to get approved.

The weird thing is that’s possible to find in all categories, poor quality websites. Where’s the editor….?

http://www.resource-zone.com/forum/July 5, 2007 at 5:12 pm #741737PatrickMMemberI got knocked back for a Martial Arts category that had no editor. It was quite ridiculous, no editor and I knew more about the subject than most people on the earth… Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr :banger:
