Ive been trying for 6 months without even a response on trying to add my main site there.

This is only speculation. But I attempted a Dmoz directory listing about 2 months ago. I think what they are looking for is good content Because the are actual editors reviewing your site they are bound to be a bit biased. Good content is a start but maybe the are looking for good grammar, as in propper sentence structure ect… Sort of like good essay writing. A theme, body and conclusion type stuff. DMOZ can take many months to get back to you.
If you applied for one of the major categories, you will likely have little luck. The smaller subcategories are better.
I am 6 years trying to get a DMOZ listing, look at the last time the manager has replied in the gambling section.
Just is not happening for me. Guess my URL http://www.CasinoGames.com is not revelant to that managers department
