MemberWell…. Even though 888 are still being stubborn mules. It appears that Casino Pays decided they didnt want to be beaten with the rogue stick and have modified their Terms and Conditions to reflect a commitment to stamping out scraping!
We done good!
See:
http://www.casinoaffiliateprograms.com/bb/updated-t-amp-c.11696.html?In Miami I am going to be lobbying all of the programs HEAVILY to follow suit and add this to their terms also. We may just be on a roll here.

InactiveAll of us have set a good example for cpays of the potential damage we can cause with scraping issues. Again I thank all that took up the cause, the result was great. I hope more programs fall in line.

InactiveYep, it’s working.
When you get the SEs and the players involved, it works.
A little birdie tells me 888 will release a statement about this tomorrow.

InactiveWhilst this is good, let’s keep it in context and hope the other programs follow. We shouldn’t forget about all the other crap that goes on with cpays though. Non-payment, closed accounts with no notification, poor integration of new programs, losing sub-affiliate data etc.

InactiveWhile i think that this is a great step. I will not work with cpays over what happened to Ellen and Dean.
still great news that the change was made!

InactiveVery true; good points. Even though cpays did the right thing this time, they still have a looooong way to go before I’ll ever consider putting them on my sites. I praised them publicly with the hope that some of the other programs would take notice and follow cpays’ lead.

InactiveI would like to see the tens of thousands of existing CPays scrapers disappear.
And they are not my favorite program, to put it nicely.
But they made a step in the right direction and we do need to encourage this.
If we don’t reward good decisions, programs won’t make them.

InactiveI do wish I could reward this move with some exposure, but I just can’t bring myself to do it.
The latest in a long line of affiliate reps at CPays is now calling me every week, looking for placement. It sounds like I’m not alone in having had issues with them in the past.
My issues were all for small amounts of money fortunately, because I never landed any huge players during the time I promoted them.
My issues:
- They made a small deal with me for a no-risk placement. I was prepaid an amount, and my commission was to be the higher of that or the actual results. When the position did very poorly, I ended up with the prepaid amount as a negative balance carried forward for months. Since the deal was made over the phone instead of by email, I had no luck enforcing it. (Lesson learned.)
- At the time, I was making money with New York Casino, until they were taken over by CPays. Of course, once they merged, my separate account there was sucked into the negative balance at CPays.
- Once I finally dug out of the hole between the two combined accounts, of course they didn’t automatically pay me. Instead, it took a couple of months of emails to get them to pay me.
- As it turns out, the month they delayed had negative revenue. Did they pay me the total delinquent amount before the negative month? Of course not. They paid me the total after the negative month had reduced it. It wasn’t a negative carry-over, it was a negative push-forward!
- Does it bother anyone else that they are the only program who sponsors CAC events that doesn’t put any contact information other than their website address on their advertisements?
