http://www.casinoaffiliateprograms.com/bb/showthread.php?p=170884&posted=1#post170884This is an affiliate.. at least I hope an affiliate.. that has lifted content for casinos not belonging to your group, but does not link to them.. he/she only links to your casinos via banners.
Please find out who this is and kick their ass!

August 20, 2008 at 8:50 am #776184StephenBMemberthe “copied” sites that you list seems to be down now..
they are also advertising other brands than ours,
how come you choose to write us in order to act on the affiliate?I want nothing more to help you guys but I really did not see the point in posting this in the Affclub forum? Please help me understand in order to help you further…
All the best.
NickAugust 20, 2008 at 9:04 am #776185AnonymousInactiveI post in all the forums where this guy is promoting.. that way each and every aff manager gets to see it.
However.. if you had read the first post, it would have taken you to another thread…
http://www.casinoaffiliateprograms.com/bb/showthread.php?p=170884&posted=1#post170884Here you would have seen my post as to why affclub is being targeted..
I had a look and he has done it a tad differently in that he has copied reviews, but has not linked to the casinos that he copied.. he only links through banners to .. dare I say it.. playtech casinos.
Casino King, Casino Las Vegas, Swiss Casino, Magic Box Casino .. seeing a trend here?He has a load of sites doing that and is copying from a number of affiliates.
August 25, 2008 at 7:20 am #776674StephenBMemberTo all “Peralis”, and others following this thread,
I promised you guys a update and here it is:
We have dealt with this case as follows: the affiliate has been contacted and have taken down the “copied” content.
As you affiliates should also know is that some of the content will stay in Google cache for up to a month after something has been changed on a website!
Unfortunately for this affiliate is that they have used a content service that created content in a dishonest way. When this have been raised to the affiliate then this service has been discontinued (yes, people have been sacked!)Copied content is a very difficult issue for affiliates and others in the industry and it also shows how dependent we are on google sometimes.
Even if someone is so rude to copy other peoples original content then in the worst case even the original content website can be punished by google because of their evaluation of content sometimes is not 100%.
This is far from fair but something that should be addressed to Google and not towards the affiliate programs…I kindly ask people posting in our forums to collect correct facts instead of making quick assumptions and posting threats and such that really are not productive and also can hurt our effort of professionalism and relationship with our affiliates.
I anyone is still in doubt, please email me.
Thank you for understanding,
Nick – Affclub ([email protected])August 25, 2008 at 8:08 am #776678AnonymousInactiveHi Nick,
thanks again for your help as always.
I just need to comment on this statement:
I kindly ask people posting in our forums to collect correct facts instead of making quick assumptions and posting threats and such that really are not productive and also can hurt our effort of professionalism and relationship with our affiliates.
Not once did I post any false assumptions nor any incorrect facts. Everything was as you saw it and now solved. So I am not sure what you menat by that statement. The fact is that the affiliate was copying other affiliates sites. Whether he was using a service or not is of no concern as to what I posted. He is responsible for the content on his site and when we affiliates contact him, he should react immediately and not wait until an affiliate program has to.
Why do we contact you?
Simple really – it is also in your best interest that this type of thing does not continue. Most, if not 90% of the banners were for your properties. It is a lot easier for you to find out who it is than us. In this case it was better for the copycat affiliate as he has not been shut down by his ISP or been banned by google, which would be the steps that we would need to take if it was not for affiliate programs jumping in.I do not understand why we are now told that we should calm down when it is clear that WE were copied and the offending affiliate admitted it. Nowhere were any false facts or unwarrented threats made.
On a side note – you seem to have a feeling that you were the only affiliate program that was alerted to this – this is not the case. I spoke to many affiliate programs and posted in the respective forums as well. Some of them could help a bit but many could not as mentioned earlier – they were copying the reviews but were not linking to their casinos, so they could not see who it was. This is why we needed your help so desperately.
This is not the only case, I have 2 other cases that need to be dealt with and luckily for you, your properties are not involved. Brightshare and Wagershate are the ones mostly affected at these and they are delaing with this. The difference is that they closed the accounts immediately.
I do not want to start a huge fight here, but your statement really gives the impression that you think we are overreacting. I do not earn a lot of money with you as such – but that should not be an issue when an affiliate is being hurt.
Again – THANKS FOR EVERYTHING!!
August 25, 2008 at 8:33 am #776680StephenBMemberHi Peralis,
You are correct,
reason for my statement was that I saw alot of wording in the posts in the two affiliate program forums that I represent as: AH, scumbag etc.I think this could be stated differently, I and others get the point anyway,
anyhow I hope this is now resolved and we can continue our work…
All the best,
NickAugust 25, 2008 at 1:46 pm #776700AnonymousInactivePeople who use content services have the resposibility for the content anyway.
They need to run it through copyscape to avoid being thieves.
We all know that content services are not to be trusted blindly.
If you put it on your site it’s yours and you are responsible for it. Period.
August 25, 2008 at 2:40 pm #776705biggygMemberThat is why we hire people to work for us exclusively ,I have been lucky to have a good team.I dont deal with people who write for everyone as there is only so many ways a writer can write a review of same casino. If you have a individual that works for you then their style tends to be unique. There are times we will allow our workers to rewrite reviews the casinos provide but we always go back when we have time and redo them.
