Ready2bet.com faced downtime issues because almost the whole country of Costa Rica has had a series of blackouts since last Thursday.

Although the electrical power seems to have gotten back to normal, the Electrical Institute of Costa Rica has announced that there will be a few more power outages because they are working on restoring everything back to its full potential.

We and other operators in CR are working for solving this temporary problem with our servers.

I will appreciate if any of the moderators step in and solve this matter; this forum I believe is not intended to be used for such low level attacks.

It is truly sad that someone will use such techniques to degrade his competitor’s efforts; we have no intention of continuing this argument any further.

However we would like to set the record straight for the readers of the forum.

This is an attack by the individual Sebastien. We will not list his last name in order to protect his privacy.

Sebastien in the past was an independent contractor for Betcorp’s White Label program.

The issues with Sebastien started during August when we entered into an agreement with Betcorp plc offshore subsidiary Tasman Gaming, Inc.

Sebastien had approached our management in the past offering a sportsbook solution.

Eventually he was circumvented from the deal since it appeared he was “out of his league” and the contract was signed directly with Betcorp.

It came to our attention that he was charging unnecessary/unjustified fees, he offered services that never existed and he had no real position within the company he claimed he was part of.

It seems that this outraged him, however as a gaming company we act in good faith in order to preserve the interests of all our stakeholders.

We are not obligated to act in the best interests of an individual, we had absolutely no legal agreements with him and after all he acted in such a manner that could be interpreted as an effort to defraud us.

Sebastien should have turned to the company he worked with for the appropriate solution and compensation if he thought he was left out.

I don’t know him personally however I may be able to understand how anger and circumstances can make you turn to such unfortunate efforts.

Sebastien started as affiliate manager back in 2000 for CyberSportsbook.com and now probably he is left without a job. However acting like this he is only hurting himself, his reputation and he doesn’t take into consideration his future in case a job opportunity arises for him again in the industry.

There is also a certain dose of irony in this post, since in the past we had arguments with him in order to remove our property from his site portfolio since we were not directly related with his white label program.

Basically Sebastien was operating a White Label program in conjunction with Betcorp. He was recruiting affiliate webmasters, after the affiliates have paid a fee they received a site template.

The main idea was that he listed several brands including ours that were either owned or had an agreement with Betcorp directly and this way he made his White Label program look strong and reliable.

Now he turns to CAP and claims that we are a shady operation.

    Hey George,

I will edit your info on my sportsbook review portal when I have a minute

    http://www.sportsgamblingreview.com/ready2bet.htm

I personaly think the White Label biz model is over (especially for US sportsbook). Prove me wrong and I will gladly signup.

Good luck with your new venture anyway.

FYI – I still make 5 figure commission monthly :wink-wink

Not sure where the attack is here.

    500 players is a lot!

I’ll keep an eye on the thread. :hattip:

He edited his original post in order to avoid any possible consequences.
We consider this issue closed from our side, we hope that he will act in a professional manner.

It is sad that people and attitudes like this are not scarce in our industry even now when it is starting to mature…

500 players is indeed a large number, not an impossible one though. You need take into consideration the prize we are offering for this. The winning prize is a share of all the revenue generated.

We have also though of the scenario that the exact number of 500 players may not be reached, and then the qualifying number of depositors will be scaled down to a more appropriate one which will be derived form the top participants results.

The sportsbook is not actually offline, players have been provided with an alternate URL for betting and banking functions. Call center is also fully operational for both wagering and customer services.

This due to a major software change and a recent threat of DoS attack.

The contest unfortunately has been cancelled due to the low number of registered entries. Feedback from our affiliates showed that the contest didn’t appeal to the average webmaster.

We are expecting to launch a new contest when the next football season starts.

Sebastien I don’t think you are registered partner of ours, since all our affiliates have been informed by email of all the aforementioned.

I think it’s a great prize John, don’t get me wrong, but have you considered that you will only get a few affiliates, possibly a handful, even able to consider competing at that level? Maybe you ought to consider next time doing a comp that rewards the affiliate who has the biggest average wagering per player, with say a minimum of 10 new players or something? You might get a whole load more exposure that way. Just a thought.

    Cheers

    Simmo!

I know other’s have mentioned the high amount of needed sign-ups..

However can you imagine if you only made the min sign-ups 10??

10 might seem like a low number to you at first but consider the possibilities. Getting 10 sign-up is something that is achievable by hundreds of affiliates. So I personally think you would be better off still overing the prize with hundreds of affiliates trying to get as many sign-ups as possible as opposed to a small handful trying to get 500.

Also keep in mind that making this reasonable to even the small webmasters gets your site out out on the web 10X more… it’s great for branding and it pays for itself in what it would cost your company in advertising.

Just my IMHO :) Good Luck
