Good thinking Webzcas. Its obvious that the pressure the legitimate webmaster community is bringing on is having an effect.
June 5, 2006 at 1:33 pm #694557AnonymousInactiveI beleive in attacking the root of the matter. Putting pressure on on the world wide web does serve some purpose but not enough. Remeber the www is a servant of the internet. The attacks are coming from the internet big difference. greek39^*
June 5, 2006 at 1:35 pm #694560vladcizsolMemberEven if the attacks are coming from Mars we have to keep the pressure up on ALL fronts.

June 5, 2006 at 3:39 pm #694586AnonymousInactiveI started an 888 blog on blogger and it was blocked as a “spam blog”. I requested a review but that will take time. I hope these monkeys realise that it´s the exact opposite of a spam blog.
I agree with rogueing the individual properties such as Reef Club, Pacific Poker and Casino-on-net. Targeting the money making sites of known blackhatters would also be fun.@ bonusgeek http://www.anticrawl.com is a script that allows the search engines onto your site but blocks malicious spiders. It was linked in the Sitepoint Frankenstein article but I haven´t tried it, yet.
June 5, 2006 at 3:55 pm #694590AnonymousInactiveThere is still Yahoo 180 & MSN Spaces. You should be able to easily create ‘blogs’ there.
June 5, 2006 at 4:17 pm #694594AnonymousInactiveThank you goldfinger. I will definitely take a look. I hope I can pull more suggestions like this from this thread. It would really help us confused newbies out.
June 5, 2006 at 4:28 pm #694595AnonymousInactiveI´ve been looking for a script like that myself. Not too sure about anticrawl as it looks a bit like an email trap but it can´t really hurt you if you direct it to one of your freemail adresses dedicated for spam.
KWblue, thanks. I´ll try Yahoo, Spaces proved to be slighlty annoying.June 5, 2006 at 7:03 pm #694618AnonymousInactiveGoogle Blog review takes only a week:)
June 6, 2006 at 2:48 am #694667AnonymousInactiveSometimes a simple server switch can have an impact on the amount of scapes a certain site receives. Kinda like take the road less travelled. greek36^*
June 6, 2006 at 3:02 am #694669AnonymousInactiveNo offence but the anticrawl will have little impact, just another script. I fail to see how this script can identify malicious spiders. The best defense is to start paying attention to who is accessing your site and when. greek39
June 6, 2006 at 3:14 am #694670AnonymousInactiveSomeone lurking waiting for me to post something substantial? greek39^*
June 6, 2006 at 3:34 am #694672AnonymousInactiveI am finding some of these blackhatters/malicious hackers have some high degree of intelligence. Some have contributed so much to the internet be it security, firewall improvments, hold patents, and yet somewhere along the way they turn corrupt. Is it greed? I ran into this one fellow and I am truely amazed over all that he had accomplished. Its’so unfortunate when people let money govern their lives. This guy who I won’t name, was as dedicated as they come. I wonder why he turned in on himself, he had so much too offer all of us. greek39^*
