Ndn, you are promoting the flagship of foul RTG outfits including Prism, Cool Cat, Cirrus, etc. on your website.
In case you have not done so already, any search on these casinos will bring you immediate results on the “performance” of these places over the last decade!
It is unbelievably sad that these institutions are still getting support from a certain group of affiliates, but it has always been like that and will not change until sun and moon unite.June 4, 2008 at 12:13 am #769292AnonymousInactiveThanks for your input and opinions Tribun. While I agree with you on some points I disagree with you on others.
I’ve promoted the GW casinos since I started in this industry about three years ago and there are reasons why I continue to promote them to this day. I’ll admit that at first (maybe even to this day in some cases) I knew very little about most casinos and did not do the research that I’d suggest all new affiliates do now days. Perhaps if I had done my “research” back then I would have made some different choices about who I promote.
However, I have yet to regret my decision to promote any of the GW casinos to this day. From an affiliate view point, these casinos accept U.S. players, they convert very well, and GW has actually had some of the best affiliate managers working for them. I’ve always been provided excellent service from the affiliate managers at GW and that is a huge reason why I still promote them to this day. Although this post was about lack of communication – I received an email minutes after my post so it appears as though it was just an issue of my emails not going through.
With that said, I would NOT be promoting these casinos if I didn’t feel as though my players would be playing in a safe environment. I believe my players are safe and because of that I will continue to promote this group. I know there have been issues with this group (as there are with all groups) but I have personally made sure that all of my players have a good experience and will continue to do so. If any of my players have any issues with any of the casinos I promote (and even with casinos I do not promote) I make sure they are taken care of. I have yet to bring an issue to the attention of the affiliate managers for the GW casinos that they did not correct immediately. I think Natalie is around here to attest to the fact that I am there for my players and will always make sure they are playing in a safe environment (Nicolas would attest to this as well but I am not sure if he is around on CAP at the moment). Come to think of it, If you were to ask most of the affiliate managers for the groups I promote if I’ve ever contacted them on behalf of my players I think 95% of them would say yes.
I understand that many of us will have different opinions about the programs we all promote and I am ok with that. We all have to make decisions about who to promote and deal with the consequences of those decisions. I am comfortable sending my players to the casinos I promote because I know that they are in good hands. Should any issues come up that they need assistance with I know that I will be happy to assist them and that I’ll be able to reach my affiliate managers in a very timely manner to get our issues solved.
Sorry for the lengthy response! I’m not trying to sell anyone on promoting GW nor am I trying to persuade them against it. I just wanted to share my opinion on who I promote because it seemed like some justification was needed.
Just my two cents!
June 4, 2008 at 12:16 am #769293AnonymousInactiveVanessa – I replied to your message in the GW messaging system. Please let me know if you have not recieved it.
Thanks!
June 4, 2008 at 10:17 am #769328CaptainetteMemberNdn, I am glad that your players have not experienced any problems, but you are ignoring the large and endless amounts of valid problems by other gamblers.
Virtual & Co. may pay out the smaller wins, but as soon as you win more than average, you will end up in trouble sooner or later. I know several high rollers who have played with them over the last years, and all of them experienced the same: Slow payments & no payments en mass!
Personally, I am owed over $5k as a player by this company since four years. Whenever I decide to contact them about this again, they invent the most horrendous reasons not to pay, and make up new stories each time.I do not touch the best converting affiliate program if I know that there are serious problems with their casinos.
June 4, 2008 at 5:25 pm #769349AnonymousInactiveTribun – I wouldn’t go as far as saying that my players haven’t experienced any problems at these casinos – there have certainly been a few cases where there were some problems. However, I have always been able to get them resolved for my players in a very timely and acceptable fashion. This is more than I can say for some programs that we would all deem more “reputable” than Gambling Wages.
I as well would not touch the “best converting” program if I was personally aware of any serious issues that were affecting my players or myself. Fortunately that isn’t the case and I still feel comfortable sending my players their way.
As I said before, we all have to make our own decisions about who we decide to promote and deal with the consequences of those decisions (good or bad). I’m not sure if you’re familiar with my website or myself, but I have taken pretty damn good care of my members in the past and will continue to do so in the future. I haven’t been able to spend a great deal of time working in this industry lately and that’s caused my sites activity to drop, but in the past it’s been a pretty large and active community and I have always been there to assist my players with any problems or questions that they’ve had.
I think we’re going to have to agree to disagree on this one. I’ll admit that a few years back I should have done my research and if I had I likely would have passed on this group. However, to go three years with no major issues for my players or on the affiliate side is something that has earned them a spot on my website and will continue to do so until I see any damaging changes with the group.
If I were having personal issues with a program I would absolutely stop promoting them right away. However, at this time I still feel justified in promoting this group.
It’s amazing how long responses can get when you get into things – sorry!
June 4, 2008 at 6:59 pm #769361CaptainetteMemberNdn, in all honesty I do not know how you have treated your players. It is however good to hear that you seem to have taken care of them well!
Because of massive player disputes, and their RTG background, I warn anyone to stay away from the Virtual, Cirrus, etc. joints, but of course not everyone needs to do the same.
At this point I got nothing to add to this thread anymore.June 4, 2008 at 10:25 pm #769378LucretiaMemberI guess $$ are more important.
players can read and the more complaints the more your site will loose credibility for the long term.
June 5, 2008 at 3:21 am #769410AnonymousInactiveTough crowd!
My player’s safety is the most important thing to me and it has always been that way. I fully understand that without my players I will not survive in this industry. With that said, I wouldn’t have been able to stick around for the last three years without any credibility. Without trying to sound like Superman, I am willing to bet that I have done more for my players in the form of protecting, assisting, and rewarding them then most affiliates could even imagine.
In the past year I have had some personal issues that have severely limited the amount of time I have been able to put into my website, yet I have still managed to stay afloat. That simply would not be possible without credibility.
I know that we’re not all going to agree on who to promote and I am fine with that. I do not agree with judging someone’s credibility or priorities based on a single program that they promote.
I believe that’s about all I’ve got left to say on this subject.
