Dear Nicolas
Thank you for your response.
I have just checked and realised that in this thread I did not in fact state that I used a bonus for my original deposit. However, I have said this to all the people that have asked me and I believe to the Professor, anyhow I believe this is irrelevant in my case as I will explain…
Having done much research to ensure I do not state infactual information, I completely understand that some people use bonuses to ‘tip the balance’ to end up with odds slightly in their favour. However, these people make very small bets with the bonus in order to ensure that it is statistically likely they will make a profit and thus consequently only make small amounts of money at each casino – but they frequent many casino’s so it all adds up…
If you have looked into my wagering, you will have noticed that I clearly do not fall into this category. I used a 100% match up bonus with no restrictions after perpetual email advertisements attempting to convince me to use a bonus (Why would I deposit and not use a bonus when bonuses are available?).
After depositing, I was instantly making bets of $10 upwards and often $25 (more than 10% of my deposit) whilst addionally playing slots – If I was a ‘bonus whore’ I would be a pretty crap one as I would be drastically reducing my chance of making a gain by not betting small amounts and playing high variance slots.
Additionally, it becomes clear that I am (unfortunately!) a hopeless gambler and not a bonus whore if you just look at my account history….I was lucky one day and withdrew $800. Then I just couldn’t help myself, cancelled the withdrawal, gambled more and advanced to $2000 and withdrew again.
Then, yet again I cancelled the withdrawal and gambled more, managing to get up to $4000 (by now the $100 bonus has surely become irrelevant) – a great amount for a student I could have paid off some debts! However, I cancelled the withdrawal AGAIN and gambled even more – this time often making bets of $400 – This is the trait of a gambler not a bonus whore!
You say that strategical Blackjack has a small edge but after much reading I believe that is not true unless you can card count or use a bonus and small bets – You cannot card count online, I made large bets and I didn’t grind through because I was betting fast and loose, thus I don’t understand why you are classifying me in this way?
As aforementioned, Cirrus sends me loads of promotional emails trying to get me to use one of their bonuses (I actually took the lowest percentage bonus because it had no maximum cash out and I wanted to gamble) – So surely it is unfair to then punish me for taking one?
The main thing I do not understand is why Cirrus have chosen this way to treat my big (big for me anyway!) win. They could advertise it and I would testify – imagine the headlines… “Man turns $100 into $10,000 in 24 hours!” – Surely the custom that would be gained from a press release like that would have covered the payout!
I am not a bonus whore, I have not acted even slightly like a bonus whore nor have I used bonuses to tip the edge in my favour as I have just proved. Why though, and I really do not mean to sound rude, do your casino’s offer bonuses if they then plan to take issue with payouts when they are used?
Anyway, I was told that I had been classified as an ‘advanced player’ because they said I have advanced blackjack skills – no one mentioned anything about it being due to a bonus, hence why I thought that was irrelevant and did not mention it in this particular post.
I sincerely do thank you for responding and pushing for a faster payout. I understand that timed payouts have history but when it happens it is clearly stated that it will happen – you must appreciate that nowhere in Cirrus terms and conditions is this mentioned and that I most certainly would not have deposited if I thought this would be the case.
It seems to me that the planned staggered payout was a punishment, as you seemingly believed that I was a bonus whore. I entirely understand this – any business should protect themselves from manipulation. However, I urge you, in light of the evidence that proves that I am not a bonus whore, to pay my winnings in a lump sum as soon as you can. I believe that a timed, staggered payout is not a reasonable arrangement to enforce on an honest player like myself.
Yours faithfully

December 12, 2007 at 8:08 pm #756347ENGINESSQMemberDear Nicolas,
There seems to be alot made of the fact that I used a bonus with my deposit and that a casino could deem at first that I may be a bonus abuser. I would just like to respectfully explain (as best as I can mathematically!) that this is probably irrelevant.
I deposited $100 with $100 bonus = $200
The wagering was 50x on Table Games
Thus the wagering requirements were $10,000 ($200 X 50)
If, as the Cirrus website states, the average payout on Blackjack is 98.1% – after wagering $10,000 I should lose on average $190
I.e. $10,000 X 0.981 = $9810
$10,000 – $9810 = $190Therefore, with my $100 + $100 (deposit + bonus), after making the wagering requirements, on average I should be left with $10 – an overall loss of $90 after my deposit.
Obviously, there can be variance, especially as I was making huge bets, but I am just demonstrating that by taking the bonus I have by no means significantly increased my chances of winning.
Additionally, I did not just stop when I had reached the wagering requirements as I assume a bonus whore would do, I actually wagered at least $23,000 in the process of making my eventual $10,000 winnings.
Thus, on average I should have wiped out my entire deposit and bonus!
All this goes to show that I did not act to somehow manipulate my odds of winning – the most likely outcome was that I would lose everything. Luckily however, I had a good run of cards which if was not possible then nobody would bother to gamble in the first place
As I have stated I am not a mathematician so if I have got my calculations wrong and anyone can correct me I would much appreciate this!
Best regards and thanks again for getting involved in the issue Nicolas.

nhalksDecember 12, 2007 at 10:36 pm #756363EPDirectorMemberMaybe it is not going to help you much but my friend, when you decide to play with this casino (I mean all of the casinos the own) you can bet that if you win they will not pay you… HOW COME THIS THIEF can keep doing this over and over and there is no way to stop him??? Players, employees and affiliates suffer from this.
December 14, 2007 at 12:16 am #756471ENGINESSQMemberMany thanks for posting Kotico but LOL you are right that doesn’t help me much!
I simply refuse to believe that CAP would promote a group that did not even pay its legitimate winners!
The Professor is pushing hard to get my winnings paid in a lump sum and additionally Nicolas has said that he will push to get me paid sooner.
I don’t know if you had issue with them in the past but let’s wait until the Prof has posted his status update and Nicolas has gotten back to me.
Thanks, Nick
nhalksDecember 14, 2007 at 10:26 am #756487CaptainetteMemberHi Nicolas, Do you have an update on my $5200? Did you find out any relevant news on this or have any questions I need to answer?
Please post here or PM me.
Thanks.December 21, 2007 at 4:12 pm #757200ENGINESSQMemberHello faithful followers of my case at CAP!
I am just posting to inform that Cirrus have now paid me $2000 of my $10000 winnings.
I have just emailed Nicolas to enquire as to when/how I will be recieving the rest of my money so I will update here when he gets back to me.
Thank you for your continued support – I will keep posting updates regarding exactly what happens in this thread.
December 29, 2007 at 6:25 pm #757608ENGINESSQMemberHappy Christmas!:santa2:
I would just like to say that I have had correspondence from Cirrus Casino informing that they will be paying me in monthly installments of $2000.
I know I shouldn’t exactly be over the moon with this – I HAVE DONE NO WRONG AND SO SHOULD HAVE BEEN PAID IN ONE FULL PAYMENT AND ON TIME!
However, it is better than $1000 a month which would have meant a payment time of TEN MONTHS whereas with $2000 it will now hopefully ONLY(!) take FIVE MONTHS.
I have had no correspondence from either the Prof or Nicolas so I do not know whether or not I should be thanking them for the slight increase in the monthly installments.
I will of course keep posting regular updates and I will keep you informed about when I recieve my next payments etc.
Thank you to all who have stood up for me and voiced their opinions regarding the treatment that I have recieved – It is interesting to note that there has only been support for me. I.e. NO ONE posted to say that they believed I should be treated in this way!
 Anyway, here’s hoping that EVERYONE has a fantastic New Year!

nhalksJanuary 2, 2008 at 6:43 pm #757811CaptainetteMemberAgain… Good to hear the positive news, Nhalks!
A couple days Nicolas got back to me and asked a few further questions. He is in contact with the casino’s management and I am hoping to report more good news later this week.
January 15, 2008 at 6:25 pm #758738CaptainetteMemberTwo more weeks passed by and I got no update.
Apparently casino management really needs to think about this one.

I should not have expected any more then this outcome, but Cirrus casino is of course still not willing to honor my $5000+ withdrawal from three years ago.
They now claim that “all data about this case is not existing anymore” and do not want to accept all the proof I have on file in form of original emails and screenshots.
This company is obviously not willing to clean up any of their mud and I have already written a big review about the evil happenings at this group, which I am going to publish on my site as soon as it has been opened.Cirrus, shame on you!
