    RTG stats suck, period.

If they were more comprehensive, half of the arguments here would not exist.

    How much was wagered?

    How much was paid out?

How the heck do you see player losses?

The question here is how much of that $1750 deposited in April was actually lost. The odds say it was all lost, but then they put some fantasy money in your players accounts bringing the net profit down to $533. If this is the case it is a classic example of the bonus abuse being talked about here. Thats the whole problem, they pay you about a buck fifty commission while they are sitting on about $1600 profit in the door from the $1750, in other words your making about 10% rev share.

Maybe the stats cannot be manipulated in the classic sense, but they most certainly can be manipulated with the manager funny money.

Yup and I myself have seen this thread turn around from NOT accusing the actual manager in charge here at GW BUT to the casino doing the abusive. I don’t see this as a personal attack against one individual now but a discussion on the manager fantasy money going on at these casinos.

Here is another thing to think about how many of these players win a random jp on the free chips, we all know they are not going to collect that win BUT they still take that money off our stats? Not saying it is happening but just tossing out a what if……

Rtg plain and simple needs to do something about the stats, the are lacking to say the least.

Maybe they should benchmark their stats back end off of Playtech – I quite like their stats. Playtech is only lacking a good campaign management system.

I couldn’t help but read this entire thread so I can understand “shaving.” I haven’t been in this business long enough and still wet behind the ears (let alone all the U.S. issues). The Manager coupons, at first blush, clearly seem to take away earnings. Period. I do not represent this program.

The reason I did read this read is that I represent another RTG program and at one point I noticed my Net Profit drop $25. I emailed the affiliate manager and he told me they gave the $25 to a “whale” to entice to return playing (it worked because the player did return and I made additional money over the $25). However, this was in addition to “credits” given by the casino to the player which are deducted from my net profit.

My question = was the $25 deducted from my profit, shaving? I just wonder how often this happens and affiliates don’t notice?

    Thanks!

No, that a legitimate incentive bonus, that is what manager bonuses are supposed to be.

If the bonus had been so high that it would have wiped out your earnings, or just ridiculously high (look at the 1000s of $ worth in some of the example) then it is exessive and a way of shaving. At RTG, where this manager bonus is funny money and doesn’t actually exist.

Thanks for the explanation, Dom. Indeed, the “Manager Coupons” Professor cited are excessive to say the least.

    Thanks again.

Cirrus, Virtual, the entire group works with a large group of casino sales people who’s entire purpose is to see what deposit they can get out of the player no matter what the cost. As a result of this they are encouraged to give out a stupid number of manager coupons, large bonuses etc… severly diluting all the money the player has placed in this casino making it near impossible for them to make a withdrawal. They have done this from day one and there attitude will never change so people need to be careful when promoting such casinos. As a result of this you will see it near to impossible to make commissions with them over the long run as all your commissions will be counter acted by the manager coupons and bonuses.

The only way affiliates can make money with them is if the casino managers/reps are shown how to manage customer relations correctly and STOP giving away those manager credits. Manager credits are there for the exception and should be treated so.

    My two cents,

    My two cents,

That is exactly my thinking and I agree 100%. Couldn’t be any clearer.
